God Edge

ENG: Awesome, a pretty solid metroidvania with a vast world to explore, secrets, magic, multiple bosses, and rich pixel art full of smooth animations and chiptune sounds that perfectly capture the nostalgia of the 8/16-bit era. Without a doubt, it’s an underrated game.

Good nostalgic fun, highly recommend.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZJ7eMBYqQA This game just kind of grabs you, it gets really really good. The puzzles are great. The hidden collectibles will have you stumped while you roll a joint and or smoke a dab reminiscing on that 2D NES nostalgia. Definitely has a Zelda II feel to it somewhat but not. It is definitely it's own entity. I had a blast, however I wish i could figure out how to acquire that "Riverman Key" & the final dart spell hahaha xD https://kick.com/kingb33/videos/1e15f4d6-d914-4643-bc99-795a35935f9f

Art style, soundtrack, game play & story 10/10 I only have a few hours in but I'm excited to keep playing. Got the game when it was on sale for $.99, I would have paid full price. Compared to many modern games that are hand-holdy and complicated, this is a breath of fresh air. From someone who is younger and didn't really play many NES games, this feels new but also has the nostalgic feel that I love. This game is easy to pickup and play for a short or long time. Great in-between game during long sessions at my PC. The game also runs and looks great on my non-gaming laptop, meaning I can boot it up anytime and slay some monsters. I am obsessed with the art style. Sprites and animations are simply and pixely but soooo good looking. The few times you see full faces in "cutscenes", they look incredible. Don't get me started on the soundtrack, I go crazy for 8-bit beats like these and each new area I enter, I sit and listen for a bit before moving on. I hope the soundtrack comes available at some point for sale/download. I love supporting small game designers and this one I highly recommend

God Edge is excellent at what it does! I love Adventure-Platformers with very slight RPG elements and wish there were more games like this : )

I played more than 4 hours of the game. There are nice aspects, but the exploration is too punishing and the screen scrolls badly, giving me headaches. I was enjoying the game overall, but couldn't bother to finish it.
