Qube Qross

Qube Qross is a minimalist yet visually charming puzzle game developed by Poly Poly Games in collaboration with Kibi Games. I'll be honest - I set my hopes too high with this one. I really enjoy Nonogram/Picross games, and was excited by the idea of 3D puzzles as someone with a very spatially oriented brain. Ultimately this is a very simple and cutesy kind of game, without much creativity in the puzzles. If nothing else, it's motivated me to look for the kind of game I actually wanted out of this. The controls are nice.

The game has 100 levels that are completely easy and useless. And what's the point?

Disappointing. I had hoped the puzzles would get more complex at higher levels, but they don't. Wouldn't have paid five bucks for it if I'd known that I'd only get about 2h of play time.

Was expecting picross/nonograms, but it breaks base nonogram rules that are in every single other nonogram game. (if it says 6 blocks, i expect to have to fill 6 uninterrupted blocks? But that's not the case here. It just counts an amount of blocks that have to be present in that row.) controls are clunky, there's also no ingame controls explanation so it took a moment to realise i can turn the camera at all. I was looking for ways to X cubes so that i could build on top of them without the awkward build/destroy you're forced to do. Someone in the other reviews called this a paint by numbers, and that is what it feels like. You dont even have to really do any thinking to figure out what you have to draw as you can just look at the tiles on the walls.

Spent more time waiting for the finishing animation than actually playing the game
