About Gray

Gray is a first person, psychological survival horror set on the Moon. Playing as Dr. Frederick Gray, you must maintain and refill your depleting 02 and health to stay alive as you navigate Alpha Station and the secretive "Extended Residency Section". Use stealth to your advantage as you evade the horrors that await you. With no weapons available to you, you can run... hide in lockers... whatever you must to survive whilst being pursued by an ever raging fire and something much much worse.

A story driven game pieced together through collectible voicemails, documents and video logs. The clues are all there as to what is going on, but will Dr. Gray's mental wellbeing hold out long enough to realize what is happening?

✦ AI summary

Players praise the atmospheric design, compelling soundtrack, and tense chase mechanics that create genuine scares and engagement, with several noting strong inspiration from classics like Half-Life and The Thing. Common complaints center on technical issues including bugs, crashes, janky animations and controls, lack of objective guidance or maps, and some players wishing for defensive options or better enemy encounter variety, though most feel the low price point justifies the experience despite these flaws.

I'm a big fan of the soundtrack. I enjoyed the jump scares and being chased by the enemies. There's some good level design with some minor bugs at times but nothing to take away from the experience. I'll definitely keep an eye out for upcoming projects from 4886 Studios. A $10 price point for this game was worth it

As someone who doesn't normally play survival horror games, I'm really enjoying the experience so far and hooked on trying to get further into the levels. The trial and error aspect is what does it for me, being able to find new ways to avoid enemies and survive with more oxygen as you improve. I love the music and lighting in certain sections, I got chills as things took a turn for the worse early in the story. Chase moments to survive enemy attacks and level hazards are also thrilling. In terms of potential improvements, I think there can be better use of solitary enemies who kneel and face the walls and aren't triggered unless you bump into them, would be nice to be able to defend yourself in the worst case scenario. Having said that, with the current system I'd enjoy more rooms with a maze of patrolling enemies where you can set traps to get through unscathed. All in all, it's great. I'm looking forward to doing another playthrough and take less damage.

I was recommended this game from people who know how much i love Half Life. It is clear the developers wear their inspirations on their sleeves. Half Life, 2001, The Thing, and more come through in this game. THE GOOD: The atmosphere can get very dark at times, I do not mean how dark the screen is, but the imagary and story. There is a very deep and disturbing story hidden away to find. It comes across a lot like more of a movie in places with the set pieces and tense atmosphere. The claustrophobic nature of the levels adds to the sense of fear, putting you in the mind of your character, Dr Gray. The graphics. The ending. The music is great. THE BAD: The controls and character animations can be a little bit off sometimes. I believe the term is Janky. This is most noticeable when climbing ladders. The voice acting from some characters is not the best. CONCLUSION: I have looked into the people who made this on Instagram, and was impressed to learn it was made by just 2 people, and that this is their first game. For a first game to look as good as this, i am very impressed and will follow them further. This is a very dark game, I do not know what the other reviewers mean…

Game crashed on me during the cinematic intro. There is no objective indicator? I never knew what my objective was. No map. Pass

It's not perfect- the system is a little screwy and voice acting disjointed at times however it's only $1....so it's basically free. Pretty good game, good atmosphere and sound design. Here's my first look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1otlxzDoh_Y&feature=youtu.be
