Note: I base my recommends on if the game cost me $1 for every hour I played. Since I spent 2 dollars and got several hours, this game gets a (b'-')b I also did -not- play this game for any romance elements. I just wanted to play a choices-matter game where I get chased down by a serial killer. Unsurprisingly the romance is kind of hard to avoid, but there's actually a reliable way to just be best friends with one of the characters instead of making out with people, which I appreciated. This means I'm not fully within the intended target audience. Despite this, I liked the main cast. Even if they mainly existed to be part of a fantasy, they were generally fun to interact with and learn about. [b]My experience was more like watching a lower budget horror/slasher film (sometimes unintentionally comedic). I had been hoping for a challenging or spookier thriller but I was ultimately pleased with my time in the game. Sunlight Scream has an unfortunately horrible translation at times, the dialogue is already meh and sometimes it's terrible... The plot is okay, the killer was very predictable imo, characters are meh, not terrible but they feel very stereotipy. It's not long tho so you can have a decent time with it!

I've always wanted to do a story/choice driven game for stream and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity. I've played story driven games before and have been let down a lot but kept an open mind when seeing this game. I enjoyed the story line and all the side little quips that occurred occasionally. It took me approximately 7 hours to complete the entire story once and in the end well...I didn't expect that. lol. Graphics are nice. I really love the battery that shows you how important a decision is or not. There were a few English translations that were a little off but nothing where it wasn't understandable. Thank you for the opportunity to play through this game! It was a lot of fun and my community enjoyed it as well. <3

Sunlight Scream takes the familiar structure of a university-life visual novel and steadily twists it into a darker tale of murder, suspicion, romance, and survival.
