If I could rate it from 0 to 10 I would rate it with a perfect score, even in early access, it has great optimization and amazing features. Not only that, you can add custom assets which is another level of freedom in world building. I am amazed at the level of detail that this tool has.

[10,4,2026] Normally I never buy early access games. I go out of my way to not buy anything early access even if i enjoy the developer and or IP. This is in fact the first ever early access game that I have bought in my life. A friend recommended me this game when I was trying to create a battle map. I have art skills and originally going to draw it or photobash it. But this tool does exactly what it does. Again, buyer beware, early access, but if you want to be involved with your map making possess you can't really go wrong with this tool. The image proportions you can get from exporting are crazy, like over 10,000x10,000 px. Wowzers!! Even my other profesional art programs would have shat themselves. Everything works really damn smoothly for me!! Very happy the program could handle that stress test. Unfortunatley the Ui is so obtuse I find myself frustrated with what should be very basic task because they involve 5 additional steps

I use it for planning villages, towns, cities, and regions, and the built-in tools let you get results very quickly. If you've tried online village and town generators and wished you could use a more comprehensive desktop version, this is just what you’re looking for.

I love the art-style and its one of the more intuitive mapmakers out there. Its not perfect but 9 out of 10 times I got what I wanted as a beginner. The emphasis lies more on whats on the outside than the inside on the map to say it in simple terms. You absolutely can build out dungeons and homes and even decorate them. However this is not (yet?) your typical dungeon-maker. This is a feature I would highly request: to "paint" dungeon floors tile by tile.

This tool is great for village, city and wilderness. While it could be used for some encounter maps, I find it most useful for a nice, organic looking settlement or farm where a grid is not important, so more for visiting-a-place maps than for battle maps. For battle maps, I prefer something that builds to a grid with control on windows, stair, doors, etc. It's a great part of the GM tool kit and something I need to remember to use more often. Interface is very intuitive.
