Gwen The Hen 64

Bite-sized levels and cute presentation. Enjoyed my time with this on Steam Deck. Achievements could potentially add some replay value, but was some quick and good fun.

A small 3D platformer, Gwen the Hen 64 is a straightforward throwback collectathon without a whole lot of surprises. There's not much new going on mechanically or narratively, but if you're a fan of running around nostalgic 3D worlds, like me, you'll find a fun-enough couple of hours here.

Chicken gathers the Chaos Emeralds to make chocolate (multiple varieties). 10/10 In all seriousness, this game is short, but very fun. This game is kind of like comfort food. It's what you expect, but it's familiar and fun. Sometimes you just want to play something that you are confident you will like. Music is good, and the game has a charming art style. I really like the effort that was put into the hub world and the NPCs. In my opinion, it make the game feel really cozy and gives the game world life. There are 10 levels and each of them are really fun. I actually do not want to spoil any of them, but there are a lot of cool ideas packed in. The hub world is full of secrets and collectibles as well. Despite the small amount of levels, I think there is replayability here if you are interested. You can try to collect all of the green coins (3 per most levels and hidden in the hub world). Other reviews mentioned trying to get sub minute times on levels. There is an in game timer, so that could be fun. You could also do a run where you purposefully avoid getting the health upgrades. Honestly though for this price (you can also wait for it to go on sale like I did), I think a sing…
