About Village & Monsters
Village & Monsters is a card game that challenges you to develop a human settlement as well as viruses. The settlement is periodically attacked by monsters, but the monster population is held back by a virus. The goal of the game is to reach a population of 100 people and not let the virus die.
According to the plot of the game, it is assumed that when reaching 100 people, people themselves will be able to fight back the monsters, without the help of a virus. With the help of combinations of two different cards, you can develop your settlement. Cards are divided into: materials, technologies, weapons and tools, permanent (social), events. There are also 3 decks: accumulated, events and for permanent cards. For viruses, everything is the same, only in the way of viruses. For example, in humans, you have to keep track of food and population, and in viruses, for DNA and the number of viruses. A special role is played by buildings that produce food and materials (for viruses, instead of creature buildings). Buildings are also built using combinations of cards and are displayed on the game map, where you can see detailed information about each building. Creatures can adapt to the virus, which will reduce the production of DNA. The more viruses, the faster the creatures adapt. It is possible to infect people, which will give big buffs to DNA and other cooler cards, but people will have debuffs in the form of disease cards. In general, you need to maintain a balance in the number of viruses. Events always have a negative effect on population or food, but this can be reduced with weapons and tools. Permanent cards provide a permanent buff, but their deck is limited to four cards.

Village & Monsters is yet more barely working Russian trashware from serial shovelware pushers, and asset flip scammers, Piece Of Voxel. These guys do nothing but copy premade game templates and game tutorials, fill out a few things/stamp out basic levels using the construction kit templates, slap on an asset flipped set of sprites/assets, and dump them on Steam and into cheap nasty shovelware game bundles as cash grabs. Trying to get paid for someone else's game templates, assets... at best, this is shovelware, at worst, it's a scam/cash grab. Admittedly this entry, amongst the hundreds of garbage/fake games they've polluted Steam with seems to be some attempt to briefly make a game, abandoned by the developer, scooped up lovingly from the garbage pile by Piece of Voxel, because why waste a good opportunity to make gaming worse for everyone? Ilya873/Piece Of Voxel have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

"Top Truck Driver" = [url=…6 found this helpful
Wow, what in the world did I just experience. The publisher is Piece of Voxel. This game's definitely a piece of something all right...6 found this helpful
Village & Monsters, developed by Ilya873 and published by Piece Of Voxel, is a compact strategy title that mixes card-based resource management with a survival concept built around opposing forces. At a glance, it resembles a minimalist village-building game, but its defining idea lies in how it asks players to manage not just growth, but also a persistent threat that is paradoxically necessary for survival. This tension between expansion and control forms the backbone of the experience and gives it a slightly unusual identity within its niche. The main objective is straightforward: build up a settlement and increase the population to a target number. Players achieve this by using cards that represent resources, tools, structures, and various developments, combining them in different ways to unlock new possibilities. The system is easy to grasp early on, with a clear sense of progression as new combinations lead to more efficient production and faster growth. Each successful interaction feels like a small step forward, reinforcing a steady rhythm that keeps the game moving at a comfortable pace. What distinguishes the game from more traditional builders is the presence of a secon…
Not a bad game but having the goal to reach 100 population is super easy. Not to mention once you got all the stuff unlocked your cards or whatever you want to call it get filled up super fast, so you got to know what you are going for and hope you get the correct card in time. Other than that it is a fun game just short.
