About The Nefargad
You've been abducted completely defenseless from your home and brought to a dungeon. You have no idea who did this to you or why. You must find your way out of this dungeon, where you were forcibly brought, by solving puzzles. Luckily, there have been others before you who came into this dungeon to explore it. They have previously solved the mysteries you now have to solve, and left notes about the solutions. With these notes, you can progress more efficiently. Thanks to the left messages, you will also learn about what happened here before you, but you are determined not to trust anyone.
Dynamic Tension and Horror
The dungeon seems to respond to your every move. Sometimes it might feel like someone is watching you. If you’re not using your torch, you should extinguish it. Staying in the darkness for too long might not be a good idea either. You must balance the dark and light well. Also, don’t forget that puzzles may sometimes have alternative solutions. Random and unpredictable events will make the experience in this dungeon unique and irreplicable!
Your Knowledge, Insight, and Patience Will Be Tested
As you progress, the fundamental mechanics of the puzzles in the dungeon will change. Sometimes your knowledge about a subject will be tested. Sometimes how you approach problems will be examined. When you can’t find a solution, you will test your patience through trial and error!

As you progress through the dungeon, you will not only write your own story but learn about the stories of the researchers who entered this dungeon before you. What happened to those researchers? Did they share the same fate as you? Were they brought here forcibly? Were they able to get out? This dungeon is ready to tell you all this and more!

I do Saturday Horror Games on my channel and this Saturday I picked The Nefargad. The graphics are certainly very nice and the ambience is set perfectly for a horror game. Complete with spooky sound effects, stereo Audio which makes you think things are sneaking up behind you and the extra challenge of just trying to keep the torch lit. The puzzles start out easy and get more difficult, as you explore the dungeon. I did find myself getting stuck in one or two. But eventually figured them out. The game told me about 4 hours to complete on live stream. My viewers also seemed to enjoy the game. Definitely a fun game to do a playthrough of. More puzzle than horror, but definitely has that horror vibe.6 found this helpful

I really tried to give this game a fair shot by playing it for two hours, hoping that it's about to get better, as my expectations were optimistic based on the reviews. Ultimately I just wasn't having fun. Here's a brief list of reasons I did not enjoy: * In-game notes that mix story exposition and puzzle "hints", some of which are just spelling out the solution. * In order to avoid spoilers I just just stopped reading the notes ... except * Puzzles with arbitrary solutions such you need to light a set of torches in a specific sequence - except the only clue to the sequence is reading one of the spoiler notes that just tell you the sequence. * The few reasonably-clued puzzles I came across were very simple, boring. and unoriginal * Combining the last two points: Puzzle "design" so bad the game has to simply tell you the solution directly via a note * Very slow walking speed with no option to run * So many long corridors with nothing new in them. In general, so much of what I encountered just looks the same * Boring level design * Crude language in attempt to make the game appear mature but it simply comes across as forced / juvenile.1 found this helpful
