About Gems Of Evolution
UNIQUE HEROES
Heroes with different elements, classes, races, abilities, and stories! Will you play with a human warrior who controls fire, or with an elf hunter who creates ice clones? And many more like this!

RPG ELEMENTS
Choose your evolution stats, purchase and upgrade items, combine skills and play according to your style-whether dealing massive damage or becoming immortal. Alternatively, focus on boosting your movement speed and sprinting wildly around; that's an option too.

CHALLENGE THE MECHANICS
You're in charge of all of the hero's movement and skills! Take aim and land your skills, dodge the arrows, defeat bosses and try to survive for 30 turns. Remember, avoid getting cornered, and dash is your best friend.

Gave the developer plenty of time to fix issues that are wrong with this troubling game. He didnt respond to anything...and gives the impression that he simply does not care about his game not being in a playable state. There is no gamepad support, which is vital and standard in this genre. There is no ability to use the hold button down to shoot method. I think the dev needs to realize games like this, need auto aim and auto shoot/auto fire, as an option at a minimum. Instead...you have to repeatedly push a key over and over again to shoot. The aiming is horrible and for some reason it takes the cursor and hero a long time to turn towards a target and fire at them. But sadly.....you have figured out by then, that the game is kind of terrible and needs an overhaul badly. Roughly 15 seconds into gameplay you will realize this, as you lay there dead and wonder what the heck just happened. Its is very unbalanced, and there is no way to get out of the overly aggressive enemies that circle the hero and cause a bumper car type effect with no hope of escape. There is a dash sort of...but not like the typical dash we know and love in this genre. Instead, it makes the hero jump…5 found this helpful
First and foremost, I'd like to congratulate Keep the Engine Games on their debut. It's always a joy to see new indie studios take the leap of faith, and bring us new experiences with their craft. I sincerely wish them the best of luck on their future endeavors. Now, Gems of Evolution is a direct jab at Vampire Survivors. Telling us the player that while unlocking all those powerful shiny skills is fun, yes, and literally annihilating waves upon waves of foes with flashing colors causes your brain to release dopamine; it's all a bit dull since the game kinda... plays itself? GoE takes that concept and says, look we know it's fun, but how about a little more challenge? And to that I say yes. And challenging it is. All those skills, you have to cast them yourself. There's no autoplay nor handholding. Running around the map you have to keep an eye on your cooldowns as each second a skill is unused is wasted. It is up to you to create a valid build on the fly too, as the merchant has a time limit. There are a lot of things to consider in a build. Your character, the starting perks, skills that you chose each time you level up, and the vendor you buy useful items from in between eac…3 found this helpful
