There is very little to do in this game as of right now. I know it's only $5 but I wish I would have refunded until there is more in terms of game play. Adding overkill achievements (kill said enemy 100 times) is not only tedious and boring, but also shows how little game play value there really is. With that being said I wanted to add I played this single player and in no way find this needing a multiplayer component. It's just not fun.2 found this helpful
Avoid. 3/10 An alright idea that gets absolutely demolished by the execution being 90-95% RNG. It's like horror solitaire, except they've managed to ramp up the luck demands to infuriatingly unenjoyable levels. Actual demon solitaire has better odds. There are WAY too many enemy cards (that all get individual attacks) & unlocking perks is a nightmare befitting casinos. & its Achievements expect you to kill EVERY boss 100 times... =_=;;; 1 found this helpful
Very fun. The strategy aspect is rewarding when you get really good at the game and there's plenty of interesting perks to unlock to make some cool combos. The aesthetic of the game is dark and immersive while still being arcadey and reminiscent of old horror films. The only negative aspect is that there's a large gap in difficulty between the easy/medium demons to the hard demons, as in the easier ones are fairly simple to beat while the harder ones can range from really hard to straight up just luck based.1 found this helpful
A very fun and interesting idea for a game ruined by it being 90% RNG. I love card games and horror so this was a must for me to try and to its credit ITS FUN! At least for a couple rounds...Then becomes very annoying very quick. Your main objective is to find these Altar cards by investigating the locations around the area your in and by doing so you will destroy them. Destroy enough altars and you win, all the while finding weapons, buffs for said weapons/items, first aid kits things of that nature. There is a total card count of the deck on the board and one card every round will be sent to each location, once the deck runs out of cards you lose. So you need to be able to win before all cards land on the board. A big problem you very soon realize is since cards are random as to where they are/go you will need to send someone to investigate an area either with a flashlight (To reveal only one card at a time unless the flashlight is upgraded) or just go there in person. If a cultist happens to be there your dead unless you have a hatchet. UNLESS Unless theres multiple then your dead. UNLESS UNLESS Unless you have a upgraded hatchet so you can kill them all. So unless things go you…
There is little to no strategy, mainly because there's no way to move the boss to another location. If you're on the fence about buying this game, then check out the achievements. The dev expects you to kill each boss 100 times. Do you really think there's a chance of good balance in the game itself if the achievements are this poorly balanced?
Fun card game, highly entertaining, you can make various strategic choices that give it a lot of depth.
