Last Saintess

I've generally liked this dev's works, because they're so-bad-it's-good, like a low-budget fantasy or horror movie. But unfortunately there's not much good about this game. The general idea is that you have to survive as long as possible against increasingly difficult hordes of enemies. You summon a limited number of units and upgrade their stats from a pool of points. The player character herself can only either heal a single ally or cast an area heal. Every once in a while you level up, you can pick one of eight randomized choices, four of which are items to equip to soldiers and four that are upgrades for the player character. The main issue is that the gameplay is pretty dull. You've either built an overpowered setup of soldiers, and you don't need to do much besides occasionally heal them, or they're underpowered and you quickly die. There doesn't seem to be much of an in-between. The first map is okay. In story mode, you fight undead enemies for 30 minutes. Basically just two types: normal skeletons, and stronger skeletons. Awful tower defense way to grindy half the stats feel like they do nothing and tying the fun units behind this stupid finish the story ♥♥♥♥.

Good game, but sad part is that I could use only 2 units before I have finally unlocked "challenge mode"

The price is cheap and I did have a bit of fun. However, I don't believe I'll recommend playing this. As the previous titles from this developer are much better. I also don't believe you get what you paid for and that is for the suggestive themes or mature content. There is skippy clothing, but all of the units are facing away from you, including yourself. So not much in terms of eye candy is to be had. The gameplay can be seen as difficult or extremely easy. That's because I feel as though you need to lose a lot in order to get enough meta progression to even have a chance at dealing with the second level. By the time you get around to the third, I feel already overpowered. There are Runes in the game that gives you more power, but by the time I had enough currency to interact with that system, I was already done with the game. Basically you lose in a blink of an eye, or sit around doing almost nothing, waiting until the timer runs out. For a tower defense game, I didn't feel like I had to think much at all. I thought strategizing was the whole point of this genre.

Very fun tower defence. Might be my favourite game from this dev so far and it was one of their first games.

Very nice tower defense game. Graphics and animations are mid but gameplay is addictive and fun. It's a tower defense with similar mechanics to vampire survivors.
