About Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age

Diesel Legacy is all about embracing the teamwork and chaos of 2v2 battles in a fighting game playing field - four players divided into two teams, on the same stage, at the same time.

Enter the dieselpunk world as a robotic war machine, a rocket skater girl, a plague doctor assassin, a suave gangster with her goons and so much more. Punch, kick, parry, shoot, bomb, poison, ignite, freeze and whatever else you can do to win it all.

Made by the FGC, for the FGC. It's Diesel, baby.

WIN TOGETHER OR DIE TOGETHER

2v2 Madness, 4 players simultaneously!

Step into the ring with a partner and fight off your competition. Protect each other or go on a double frontal attack. Fighting game newcomers and veterans will be able to team up and level up together with everyone making meaningful contributions to their team.

The traditional fighting game experience has transformed into a true battlefield, where tactics and situational awareness reign supreme.

YOUR CHARACTER, YOUR UNIQUE EXPRESSION

Intuitive controls with an insane amount of depth for each character!

Brawlers, Rushdown, Zoners, Grapplers, Trap Characters and more– there’s a meticulously crafted, hand-drawn character with an additional unique twist for everyone.

Newcomers will be able to focus on the fight, not requiring overly complicated inputs to pull off special moves. Meanwhile, fighting game veterans will be constantly engaged by footsies, split-second decision-making, combo optimization, resource management and everything else that traditional fighting games thrive on.

Each character has their own fighting personality with unique and deep mechanics, giving each player the ability to explore and express themselves via their own playstyle.

Team Leader? Showboat? Comeback King? Parry God? Unpredictable Wild Card? It's time to own what makes you who you are, and celebrate it.

THREE LANES, ONE BATTLE \

Outplay your opponents and flip the traditional fighting game experience on its head!

Use Diesel Legacy’s three lane system to seamlessly bob-and-weave into the foreground or background. Use the extra dimension to outmaneuver, outrun and outplay your enemies. You want immaculate schmovement? We’ve got it in spades.

DEATH IS NOT THE END!

Fight, parry, and burst– even after you’re KO’d!

Does the soul still burn? Even when you’re down, you’re not out of the fight! Commandeer your own ghost and get back out there! Use your newly acquired ghost abilities to turn the odds in your favor by parrying, bursting and attacking for your teammate.

ENHANCED WORLDWIDE ROLLBACK NETCODE

Introducing the new era of online netcode, RealMatch!

RealMatch is rollback netcode redesigned from scratch with competitive fighting games in mind. Using proprietary adaptive rollback technology, RealMatch stabilizes and improves gameplay in all the roughest online conditions– including transcontinental connections, high latency, and Wi-Fi, to keep your game running like you were all playing in the same room.

It’s just that good, you gotta see it to believe it.

THE STORY OF DIESEL LEGACY

Take control of the dieselpunk future!

Thirty-five years ago, the dense, bustling metropolis of New Libertis was born from an explosive boom of technological marvels. This new industrial renaissance saw the rapid expansion of the “Iron City”, pioneered by industrialist Hieronymus Frazer, founder of the now-omnipresent FALCORP.

Rising from the center of the city, the monolithic New Babel Tower siphons energy from the outer zones to power the glowing lamps of FALCORP’s countless labs. In its shadow the city’s workers - alongside gangsters, brawlers, and mechanized humanoid “autos” - spend their lives relegated to inhuman conditions with no hope of escape.

With almost limitless resources at his disposal, Frazer now seeks to secure his legacy and usher in a grand ascension for humanity’s elite. To that end, anything and everything may be sacrificed for his greater vision.

Bold, brazen champions will rise in the fight for tomorrow - the fate of the city is in your hands!

Sucks that literally no one plays this. It's mechanically sound, it's innovative as hell, all the animation is all hand-drawn and of superior quality, It even has silky-smooth ROLLBACK NETCODE and a DEMO. You couldn't ask for a better indie fighting game these days. Could have been a real winner. Still not too late for it to be one. Throw Mike Z a bone, lord knows he needs it after the hand he's been dealt.

Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age is an ambitious and stylish reinvention of the traditional fighting game, developed by Maximum Entertainment and published by Gameplay Group International. Rather than relying on the familiar one-on-one formula, it introduces a fully cooperative 2v2 structure played across three parallel lanes, creating a layered battlefield that feels both chaotic and strategic. It stands out immediately thanks to its dieselpunk world—an industrial metropolis powered by heavy machinery, neon grit, and technological decay—and its cast of larger-than-life combatants. From the moment a match begins, the game makes it clear that it wants to push the genre into new territory. What defines Diesel Legacy mechanically is its three-lane combat system. Instead of a flat stage, battles unfold across three distinct planes, and players constantly shift between them to dodge attacks, set up combos, protect their partner, or outmaneuver opponents. This design transforms positioning into a dynamic, multi-layered puzzle. Lane switching becomes as important as blocking or spacing, and team synergy matters far more than in most fighting games. Coordinating cross-lane assaults, interrup…

Diesel legacy is a game that had a lot going for it solid concept, fun ideas and great art not to say the game doesnt have flaws it does. some characters feel underbanked and fall flat without a teammate, small roster for a 2v2 game, 1v1's have the 2 health bar system...... more of a opinion but that ♥♥♥♥ sucks ass and colors being locked behind ranked?!!??!?!?!? you get the point the game is has a few flaws but with patches it could be fixed and heavily improved....... well then the devs got merged and got sent to work on avatar leaving this game to receive nothing for 2 YEARS they did say they could come back to this game after but I don't think they will. BE HONEST Would you rather work on the game that will be played at EVO has a active community, loved to death characters and already has dlc lined up.... or the game that the most attention its gotten in the past 4 months is this review. this game is the definition of wasted potential but you know what I really want to be proven wrong GOOD GAME DON'T BUY IT

The last boss Hel makes the game extremely annoying to play - insane projectile spamming, extensive regeneration, the nigh-instant moves it uses almost exclusively and the mostly constant super armor that prevents any kind of non-RNG-based damage-dealing on it. It is like fighting a Blazblue boss with a Pit Fighter character. It is like a coin op game - you can only win when the game decides to not super armor and projectile spam you to death. When you do not want to play the game because the last boss is beyond cheap and such a waste of time to play against, it is a big problem for the attractivity of the overall product. I cannot recommend a game with such a negative fun factor. There is not even pay-off for that specific boss - plotwise or anything else, so the upsides are not there. Here is an attempt to describe what it is like to fight the last boss: you might get some hits in UNLESS it completely shuts you down with the combination of power armor and instant counters. Then the boss goes into invincible mode and regenerates 90 % of the damage it took, even if was 50 % of the life bar. The heavy damage you take from its counters does not regenerate. If you somehow survive to…

This game is great, the world is great, and the combos are the best ive seen in awhile. the one downside I see in this game now is that its kinda dead but even then theres so much solo content in this game that just makes it all worth it.
