A love letter to resident evil, but in 2D. Great atmosphere, difficult enough but manageable and definitely enjoyable. I wish the "survivors mechanics" was explored a bit more and that the saving system was a bit more forgiving (especially sinceyou can die very easily). Overall a good game that I recommend. I played it entirely in English and it was well translated!

This horror game, takes you on a chilling journey through abandoned buildings, shadowy corners, and haunting narratives. With its atmospheric retro graphics and suspenseful storyline, Desolate City promises a pretty intense gaming experience that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I don't normally play much horror games but this one caught my eye and I've enjoyed every bit of it I'm looking forward to seeing where the game goes from here!

Desolate City: Last Show offers an extraordinary gaming experience that stands out in the survival horror and RPG genres. From the very beginning, the game immerses players in a haunting atmosphere, tasking them with surviving in an abandoned city while uncovering the mysteries of a deadly virus. Story and Atmosphere: The game's story centers around artist Don Aitor's last concert and the chaos that ensues as a mysterious virus spreads through the city. The atmosphere is both bleak and captivating, drawing players into the desolate urban landscape. Graphics and Sound Design: The pixel art graphics are beautifully crafted, with intricate details that bring the city to life. The sound design is equally impressive, with eerie music and environmental sounds enhancing the game's tension and mood. Gameplay: Desolate City: Last Show combines exploration, puzzle-solving, and strategic combat seamlessly. Players must manage limited ammunition and healing items carefully, making strategic decisions to survive. The puzzles are well-designed, offering a satisfying level of challenge. In conclusion, Desolate City: Last Show delivers a thrilling narrative, stunning visuals, and engaging game…

Very fun pixelated action RPG with plenty of influence from early Resident Evil games. A thrilling survival horror game that you can complete in a one sitting! Give it a try and support small developers!

A nice call back to survival horror games like Parasite Eve or Resident Evil. Being 2D, action RPG horror with pixel graphics, this game does an awesome job with gameplay mechanics, sound, and story. The environments are well-made too, with enough cues to keep you interested and curious to inspect things. Though these are small details, they really grabbed my interest. The fact the sound of character's footsteps change on the carpet was nice, which actually matters in the game. Also, when I saw that my shots can hit more than one enemy, if they are in a line, was a nice touch. These enemies have different health amounts and damage output too, so the combat encourages strategy, which was nice to see and do. Critique The save system is unforgiving. It did not bother me, but some might find this to be frustrating. You can die fast if surrounded by enemies, so strategy is a must in most cases. My best advice when facing more than one enemy, either slash and run with the knife, or lure them into a narrow path and open fire. Overall, a fun game, especially if your feeling nostalgic.

I've been playing Desolate City: Last Show for a little bit, and it’s an absolute gem that every fan of 2D action RPGs should experience! Here’s why this game deserves a spot in your library: Immersive Atmosphere: Set in the eerie, pixelated city of Gray Bay, the game masterfully captures a haunting vibe that perfectly complements its survival horror elements. Every corner of the city feels alive with tension and mystery. Gripping Narrative: The storyline follows Don Aitor during the last concert of his tour, which quickly turns into a desperate fight for survival against a bizarre virus outbreak. The blend of a music tour narrative with horror twists makes for a refreshingly unique plot. Retro Charm: The 2D pixel art style is not just a nod to classic gaming but also enhances the overall eerie aesthetic. It’s a nostalgic treat for those who love retro visuals, yet it never feels outdated thanks to its modern gameplay mechanics. In short, Desolate City: Last Show is a must-play for anyone who loves a good blend of survival horror and action-packed RPG challenges. Don Aitor’s harrowing journey through a city overrun by a strange virus is a thrilling ride that will keep you hooke…
