Blêktre 2081 is damn amazing. It's fun and not time consuming (though it can get very addictive!). I don't want to spoil anything in my review but there's a lot of stuff to discover and Charles is clearly working on more! While not too difficult, it can take some time to understand how things work (you now have a small tutorial and the Blektropedia to help you out) but that's part of the experience. Don't take death too seriously: once you know how, it's fast and easy to get back on your feet. You will be brutally punished by for your lack of knowledge and die. You will manage enough to get by, just to see some rich assh*le make you miserable, and probably die again. You will make bad choices that will lead to your death. But soon enough, things will click. You will exploit the system, know the secrets. You will become the rich assh*le and bully your way to victory. Can't wait to see what's coming next !

Hello everyone, and have a good mood! I immediately liked the idea of the game, when I entered it, I immediately noticed the atmospheric and appropriate music, the choice of difficulty made me laugh. Starting out in the game as a poor expat grabbing every opportunity, I gradually became richer and richer. I even came up with a goal for myself, to build a garbage and capitalist police dictatorship named Daaron. I bought up businesses and a police station, renamed them after myself. I've arrested competitors for losing money on their licenses for life and drugs. I earned 1 million and 600 thousand coins, I was happy. After putting them in my pocket, I went to the bank and wanted to buy another license, I accidentally clicked twice and it froze for a second, after which my entire million disappeared and the maximum became 50 thousand! There was no limit to sadness, it was all for nothing. I went out and came back in 2 hours later. I bought the business again, but for some reason the income was a maximum of 2000. A player appeared with millions in his account , literally a pig with green hair . I said hello and wanted to make friends, he didn't respond and started constantly buying up …

Blêktre 2081 is one of the most original games I've played in years. It is this weird pixel art cyberpunk life sim set in a single persistent city where everything feels alive even when you are not online. You start as a migrant scraping by. You beg, take dead end jobs, commit crimes, or try to climb the ladder. Before long you are buying businesses, running for president, or becoming a cop who actually enforces the laws another player just rewrote. The satire on turbo capitalism is razor sharp and hilarious in the darkest way possible. The async multiplayer means your actions or inactions keep shaping the shared world 24/7. I spent a ton of time as a cop just patrolling the streets, checking profiles, and throwing people in jail when they broke the current rules. It actually feels meaningful. They get locked up for a bit and lose some freedom and maybe a bit of cash or items while the city keeps moving without them. The Tax Collector job they added earlier this year is basically the same vibe but aimed at rich offline business owners. It keeps the enforcement side of the game fresh. This game is a bizarre, satisfying reflection on modern society. I just finished the main story and I'm honestly impressed. It's a very original, weird and intereseting experience. If you enjoy chill, original point'n click mixed with some idling mechanics (growing economy etc) this is for you. Recommended for those looking for something outside the box!

Best RPG/Idle Hybrid ever, can be very addictive. I played countless hours in the non-steam version looking for the most cheesy tactics and exploiting Blêktreville citizens to get my ticket to the moon and I still have plenty dirty stuff to discover!
