When your brother is cursed by a cat magician, you must save him by entering a cave and finding all the treasure. The story is simple, serving just to provide context for your actions in the game. On hard difficulty, there will be no checkpoints during a stage, and you will lose all of your coins upon death. The adventure will take you through a hundred stages. Each stage is a single screen with platforms, spikes, and coins. The goal is to collect all of the coins and open the exit. The gameplay is decent, but quite ordinary. You start with only a jump, but you soon obtain wall-jump, which allows you to climb any vertical wall without restriction. There is also an attack button to punch bats, blobs, and treasure chests. The Best Treasure is a short-ish (still 100 levels!) precision platformer. Surprisingly chill. Looks & sounds great. Levels are well made, traps well placed, and new mechanics every ~10 levels. The Best Treasure is surprisingly relaxing (that is, slow-paced & forgiving) for a precision platformer, though still challenging. Gets more interesting the further in you get with new mechanics.
