Having 8 legendary items of some type just for them to combine into absolute zero while also taking other resources near them and deleting from inventory is a wild experience. Almost as wild as getting bonked on stage45 by full physical immunity enemy. Needs some smaller quirks and details done, but the core flow is straight forward and somehow engaging. Done right, runs well, but has quite a lot of "FK you" moments in mechanics. Like getting weapon specialty passive, but that makes you kill faster and that lowers your xp by a lot. The strategy for all stages and then additional stages past 49 is so narrow and railroaded into gameplay that it is a bummer. The literal only way to do well is to skip all damage till like stage10 making every fight last as long as possible to stack items, then go with the flow in "jesus hold the wheel" approach that by legendary tier is punishing a player for new combines. Eh, kinda weird in that way. Also, somehow the sound of golem pet tanking a hit is a literal cooking pot being blasted by a hammer and again somehow that's the only sound that remains even with sounds and music turned off ingame completely. Its look and feel are really raw but the gameplay is quite the opposite, great and highly enjoyable.
