PhobLack is one of those rare horror games that manages to keep me on edge the entire time. Super well done. Everything felt incredibly intense and ominous in my first run. I had absolutely no idea where/what to do or go, but that also boosted the levels of intensity. I'm a bit disappointed in the map, it gave me absolutely nothing no matter how many times I looked at it. It felt overly cluttered, could be intended that way, I'm not sure. It might be, honestly. Overall, I feel like PhobLack might be more suited for hardcore horror fans, if you're completely new to the horror genre, I doubt you would enjoy this. It feels too niche for that and most mechanics are designed to be unforgiving. But I'm sure many people that are well into the horror genre will enjoy this, it has something very strong about it's intensity that most other games fail to create. I had to refund this game. I gave it a fair shot, and I played as far as I could keep my sanity intact with it. The intro was really impressive, but as soon as you step into the building everything starts becoming...more prototype state. There's no exterio any longer, the building is floating in midair, there was bugs left and right, there's very little clear intention of the gameplay and it becomes needlessly difficult for the sake of potentially just dragging out the time. This game has the elements of being good, but at some point it just felt like it stopped trying. Where was the effort from the beginning? I hope people realize it's better to give some negative reviews with constructive criticism so the game has a chance to shine, instead of risking ending up in "cult hell" which has happened too many times before. I believe in you dev! You can make this game really shine! Just right now, it isn't and due to its prototype state of gameplay, I refunded. If the game does get improved, I'm rebuying it ASAP tho.

amazing game for $5 and I even paid under 3 for this. puzzles, exploring, you can easily get away from the infrequent encounters with the ghost and one chase you have can be done easily if you set up your environment before hand.

Cool and intriguing intro, after that this game feels so empty. I scare pretty easily, but I was so bored I couldn't bring myself to finish.
