Gunboat God

A criminally overlooked game that is incredibly fun. However it is probably one of the hardest games I've ever played so I'm for sure not insane enough to do a 100%. It's still really good!

game is VERY fun and versatile. The different mission types breathe a good amount of fresh air into it as well as the different weapons and tools that come with which gives way to different styles of approach. Admittedly only ~1/2 way through the main story but I feel like this game deserves more recognition.

I waited all the way till i beat the game (not 100& yet) to write my review, wow this game is such a blast!! huge newgrounds energy, such fluid animations, alien hominid (invasion) esque gameplay (atleast to me, which is a GREAT thing cause i love alien hominid!!! <3) and it includes a patapon resemblant art style. yeti and baby yeti are so iconic and definitely the highlight of comedy for this game. the bosses are really fun to play especially the last one which was sorta easy but still really fun i feel like the developer janson made such good choices when creating this game, using black characters and black water with a colorful background aghh its so beautiful and gives alot of room for fluid/imaginative animations and makes things way easier to handle. adding dreadmode was a great way to span this games length from like 12-15 hrs however long it is to like 30 if you want to platinum. the pixel art is great the whole island select screen is really imaginative and i love the little details of things floating around in the space around it like the astronaut lolll i adore the skinbag skin tag meat bag abggiglsalg i forgot the name of the character hes so cute whenever he flops…

So much dopamine for so few dollars. It's like Luftrausers but it doesn't completely hate you.

Go play it its such a cool indie!

Too much movement based tech, weird gauntlets and not enough shooting.
