My personal GOTY for 2025. This is as good as 2d action games come. Saying it's an Alien Soldier like is not productive since very few have played it. Imagine a 2d character action game focused on positioning and strategic usage of multiple weapons you can switch between through a boss gauntlet with levels that mostly exist to get hp back. This game is built to give both casual and experienced players a challenge through its varied difficulty levels. The easiest difficulty gives you unlimited continues to finish the game, but Disaster Arms obviously wants you to play on the higher difficulty levels, which encourage players to fully master the varied mechanics. It truly feels like a 16 bit genesis platformer in ways that many indie games do not, yet it still feels modernized. PD_CGT achieves a balancing act that results in an amazing game. Shoutouts to the small snippets of story that are in the game, which tell an interesting story with nice pathos, similar to Somnabuster. It's a very nice bonus I do not usually expect to get from games such as this.

I just got the number one spot in Advance mode and totally forgot to ever leave a review. Oops! If you ever wondered what it would be like if Alien Soldier was "easy to learn, hard to master" instead of just kicking you right in the face as soon you start playing, here it is. You are given a choice of four weapons to work with that can be switched on the fly, strafe-lock based on where you are aiming (something I wish gunstar heroes would have had) and can also walk upside down on walls similar to the dev's own Somna Buster. Most of the game's 30 bosses are a ton of fun to fight and figure out. My personal favorites are the robo-gorilla capping off Act 1, the scalpel/sawblade combo and the little dork you have to race through the casino before he can reach the finish line. We also can't forget the blatant riff on the Coco Puffs bird- truly Treasure level ridiculousness for the whole 45 minute ride. (And in case you're wondering- yes, there is a reference to Melon Bread in the pile. I called it before I even bought the damn game.) Considering how greedy some indie devs are getting with pricing, this game is an absolute steal at $9.99. I also think a difficulty wedged between t…

Disaster Arms - Impact Project B.A.H.N. is a love letter to classic arcade action games that combines the intensity of run-and-gun combat with modern gameplay refinements. Developed and published by PD_CGT, the game delivers a fast-paced side-scrolling experience centered around precision, mobility, and relentless boss encounters rather than lengthy exploration or cinematic storytelling. It embraces the spirit of old-school action titles while incorporating mechanics that encourage strategic thinking and repeated playthroughs. Instead of simply relying on nostalgia, it introduces fresh combat systems and accessibility options that help bridge the gap between veteran arcade players and newcomers looking for a challenging but approachable experience. The game's story unfolds in a bleak future where humanity is on the verge of extinction following an invasion by hostile alien forces and the rise of the powerful KaiserCorps. Players step into the role of Geverel, an enigmatic warrior driven by revenge whose mysterious origins slowly come to light through comic-inspired story sequences. Rather than interrupting the action with lengthy exposition, the narrative is revealed in fragments …

Very good boss rush action game.

Once again PD_CGT makes a gorgeous game with great storytelling, very fun even going through just one casual playthrough since im the type of person that doesnt really have the patience or attention span to keep replaying an arcade game. Skill issue on my part. but this to say it was very much worth it even on the one playthrough. keep up the amazing work.
