The game throws you headfirst into pure chaos, casting you as an enraged monkey whose sole purpose is to destroy anything that dares cross its path. From the very start, you are given a set of abilities that feel perfectly suited to the wild personality of the character. The most important of these is the monkey’s talent for vertical movement. By holding down a button, you can climb almost any wall with ease. The same button serves a different purpose when used on flat ground, activating a blistering sprint. Mobility is further expanded through a flexible jumping system. The monkey has a standard jump, but you can chain it into double or even triple jumps if you have enough energy. Energy management is straightforward, since your meter refills constantly. Still, jumping is not the primary focus. What you will be doing most of the time is beating down whatever unlucky enemies appear in your path. To support this, the game provides two distinct attack options. The first attack is a chain strike that does not seem impressive at first glance. Its usefulness only becomes clear when you close in on an enemy.
