One year has passed since the heroic monkey Lloyd defeated the Titan Kronos at Chernobyl, but evil never truly dies. With Kronos amassing a new army of dark gorillas and putting the universe at risk, Lloyd is forced to team up with the alien princess Lura as she reawakens her magical powers. The two heroes will have to overcome many dangers in order to save the people they love, but with new Titans to battle and former allies gone, how will this ragtag team escape the clutches of extinction?
Play as Lloyd the monkey swordsman and Lura with her projectile-based combat, alternating between the two with the push of a button as they explore an exotic world and battle five dangerous boss characters across a twelve-level campaign. With unlockable abilities, optional levels and non-linear progression, Lloyd the Monkey 2 is an adventure that will bring you back for more!

Lloyd the Monkey 2 is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro pixel platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This shovelware platformer is about some kind of tough guy Japanese monkey or something... I really don't know. On the upsides, there's actually voice acting, and I've heard worse, but it's not great and it's certainly not saving the game at all. Also, this is not an asset flip or necessarily a cash grab, I think this is a sincere game, just badly made. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The artwork here is terrible, it's a blend of old retro pixel "art" used as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics, and some of the most amateurish MS-Paint style drawings (I won't deign to call these "illustrations"). It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget to arrange someone who can do graphics properly, or lack of talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result of these decisions. Lloyd taught me what it was like to be not only a man, but a monkey as well. A monkey must have honor, he must have a family. He must have an energy sword. And above all else, a monkey... Well, heh, a monkey has to have a heart as well. A big heart. And an even bigger health bar. Finished this game on stream! Honestly from the first game this really built on well and I felt the improvement with the controls and loved dash jumping everywhere and eventually air dashing across the map with Lura! The story and the flash animations really tied it together. Much easier than the first game but I think that had to do with the improved controls as well if you died you do not restart the whole game. Great job loved it so much would love to play this again sometime!
