You Shouldn't Be Here

A short kinetic visual novel that doesn't pull its punches. It's a fantastic - if heavy - read, and the prose strikes the perfect balance between being too simple and over-indulgent. While I thought that it kinda beat you over the head that the story is about
depression, self-medication, and addiction
, based off the reviews I'm seeing I suppose that it wasn't as obvious as I thought during my playthrough. It does a very good job of depicting both problems, especially with what the monsters represent.

It's that old leftist poetry that tries to come across as deeper than it is by dumping existentialist rambling on you and mixing it with psychedelia so it won't look like the bore it actually is, all while trying to slip its propaganda in with the mix.

this game is genuinely so beautifully written i could not have been more engaged playing this, it’s a beautiful allegory with an amazing visual of a pissing mantis <3

Very creepy little visual novel, do recommend if you want a quick but messed up adventure
