Hazy Mind

The author hinted at wanting to make something that would stick with someone and well... I won't forget this game as long as I live. Hidden gem... Can't say much without spoiling it as the game is really short but it's amazing. Buying on sale feels like a steal.

A short, psychological VN centred around mental illness and suicide. Our main character wakes up and is struggling to distinguish dream from reality, what is real and what isn't. We are guided throughout most of it by Morana, an enigmatic character who claims to be our therapist. Throughout this VN we attempt to figure out what happened to the main character, why did they try to end their life, where's her mother, and who Morana really is. The story plays out as a psychological horror, making us feel unease with its atmosphere. And as we uncover new things, we constantly ask ourselves whether it's the truth or tricks of the mind. The entire presentation is a good example of "less is more". The visuals are somewhat minimalistic, and most of the game our surroundings remain in the dark, with the focus being mainly on the characters we're talking to. But this has the intended effect of conveying the character's state of mind and adds to the atmosphere of mystery and uncertainty. Also, the way the visual images have certain effects to them (wobbling, flashing, etc) really enhances the feeling of psychosis the main character is going through. while playing this game i went through so much emotional stuff, triggered by some actions, story overall and it made me depressed more than already am. i recommend it. thank you for making one of the best vn i played betetiro <3.

Not too long of a game to 100% or complete however... The story is one of the best I've seen this will be a game I wont forget and suggest to others constantly Super good endings, voice acting, artwork and soundtrack 10/10 great story
