Broken game that I bought during the summer sale that is abandoned by devs with the last update in January supposedly addressing the issues where the monster would get stuck on things or camp your hiding spot when it still does (see towards the end of my video below in engine room and towards last minutes of gameplay before final thoughts). Beyond those bugs though you will be you hiding in lockers for long periods of time and you can't run either. I don't know who came up with that idea but its the top 10 dumbest things I've seen in games made by indie devs / small companies especially when this monster goes at mach 10 speed when it sees you. It doesn't help either that this thing has supersonic hearing either The game beyond that has good voice acting, atmosphere, level design and graphics but clearly even with the fancy dev logs the devs went straight into developing another game forgetting this one https://youtu.be/aaEgyG80_Tk4 found this helpful
The monster is glitchy AI garbage.2 found this helpful
another "run and hide" horror game but the enemy AI is so broken that you cannot outrun it and hiding takes too long even if you could2 found this helpful
The game follows a good storyline, has a great voice actress, and does a good job of keeping things both tense, but possible. The creature in the game is both scary and fascinating. Well written. Good dialogue. Good gameplay and mechanics. A few of the areas were really challenging. But you get used to how the creature hunts and patrols. Oh and you can't run/sprint. This is clearly on purpose so that the creature can be faster than you when it sees you. You have to learn where the hiding places are and strategically be near enough to them to get by the creature. I'd recommend this game if you don't mind hiding a lot. I feel like ProbablyMonsters has great potential for their next title.
After a while the monster gets you more often and you restart from the beginning every single time, I got no time for this kinda crap jeez no save points really..... Maybe warn players this game feels like a rouge like
A broken enemy AI that gets stuck, Props glitching about, forced to play one way. I think the paranoia system & subtle map changes per loop were great but with basic gameplay elements lackluster like interact prompts that don't do anything, 3D shadows, etc. no amount of polish on this will makes me want to play more than once. It seems to be a theme of this company to make a slew of mediocre streamerslop and move on.
