Origament: A Paper Adventure

This is both a recommend and a not recommend. TL;DR not recommend if you like unlocking stuff and getting achievemnts in game. RECOMMENDED - It's a very lovely game. Strikes the perfect balance between soothing and tricky. The levels get progressively trickier and you really feel yourself mastering the unique mechanics and pull off more and more difficult feats of parkour as a rolled up paper ball. The setting is lovely and the ending leaves you content. Would recommend as a fun platform. NOT RECOMMENED - This game has coins hidden throughout the levels and as such has achievements for finding and collecting all of them. It has no way in game to track how many coins you have in each level and once you reload a level, ALL the coins respawn so you will never know if you collected a coin you had previously missed until the VERY LAST COIN and you see the counter on the left say there were a couple you left behind. There is no "reload from last checkpoint" option either so if you miss a jump and accidently progress, too bad. RESTART THE ENTIRE LEVEL. It doesn't help the fact that the one map you are most likely to miss 1 or 2 coins is also the map that takes over 90 minutes to com…

Its a short mostly enjoyable platformers. There are 4 forms you switch onto on the fly, to platform, solve puzzles, and progress. It can be fun swapping on the fly and moving around. It does get somewhat repetitive as you have all the powers from level 1 to the end, meaning youre clearing many of the same obstacles doing many of the same things. The levels are a bit random but at least they are varied and switch things up. The music has a very calm vibe but most of them sound the same and the track loops through the level so it gets a bit old. Sometimes the platforming and mechanics can be buggy or finnicky but its usually pretty good. The story is as barebones as it could be which is why. Overall its not bad, relatively short but some fun is to be had with it. 7/10.
