About Paper Trail

Paper Trail is a top-down puzzle adventure about leaving home, set in a foldable, paper world. You play as Paige, a budding academic, leaving home for the first time to pursue her studies. On the journey, you learn to fold the world, merging two sides to solve puzzles, explore new areas and uncover long-lost secrets.

Fold the world, one page at a time
What feels simple at first, folding and joining paths together to explore and progress, quickly becomes devilishly tricky! Alter the fabric of your world, contorting, spinning, rotating, twisting around - as you try to untangle the puzzle of the Paper Trail.
Engaging puzzles, intriguing people
Solve puzzles that challenge your wits and bring you through the world of Paper Trail. Travelling through the folds will introduce Paige to a unique cast of characters, who tell their stories and enlighten Paige about the wider world.
Handcrafted beautiful environments
From deep dark caves that have been untouched for years to the tallest treetops buffeted by rain. Explore a variety of handcrafted environments as Paige makes her journey to University, taking in the sights and wonders as she goes.
An enchanting art style
Experience the art of Paper Trail which draws heavily from flat aesthetic styles, like printmaking and watercolour, blended together to create a uniquely styled game that compliments the paper theme.

Very, very good game. Felt like a fresh breeze for the first time in a while. It was a unique experience to me. The puzzles were not too hard but not too easy as well. Player could get hardstuck on some idea for a long time and then solve it in 3 moves if he took a step back which is amazing. In general the gameplay and the puzzles were very creative and innovative. This all was accompanied by a great soundtrack, beautiful art and funny story. Loved every aspect of this game.1 found this helpful
Boring
Story is a little goofy, but generally very fun. Best part is easily the puzzles, its super creative and fun to solve without being overly maddening. Very good art style too.
Pretty arts, music, graphics. Puzzle is not too difficult. Relaxing and touching.
Nice puzzle game that is worth its price. Not too easy, not too hard. It´s nice to know there is a hint system if you get stuck, I guess, but it is not actually needed. I solved many levels by just folding stuff at random lol. Collecting the optional, hidden origami is a highlight, in my opinion. Strategizing how to connect foldings to reach them was so much fun! The main selling point, the folding mechanic, is quite unique and fun. The devs managed to come up with various other creative mechanics that get wackier by the level, too. On that note, tho.... I wasn´t a particular fan of how the "sokoban" elements were implemented, but even those managed to represent fun obstacles at times. Art-style is charming. OST is okay, nothing to write home about. The "story" is.... well... it is... there... it exists.... most likely as an anti-climatic afterthought. If you like puzzle games , this one is great for killing some time! If you are an achievement hunter, keep in mind you will most likely need to start at least a second run to get the 100%,
a fun game with clever puzzle and has beautiful soundtrack.
