About DarkShine
DarkShine is an open world game in classic graphic style where you will meet a former soldier who left the war to save his life and settled in a small but progressive village “Gudwine” that lived a peaceful life, until one day an evil in white armor destroyed their peaceful life. In this game you have the opportunity to develop by running errands for people, earn money for decent equipment, improve this equipment, do farming in your free time and even get your own ship, immediately going to sea on it as a deliveryman of goods between ports. And of course don't forget to save the world along the way, as the Capital is already surrounded by a white army. Where to look for adventure depends only on you. But evil never sleeps, so evolve to fight back when the time comes, find out the main secret of the Shadow or forever be stuck in the loop trying again and again.*Explore *Earn and grow*Become a captain*Crash the ship and become a land again *Fix the ship and become captain again *Find the secret key and battle the White Queen herself*Face your old enemy once again and thank him for everything.*Discover all the secrets of the capital—especially the ones ordinary people aren't supposed to know.

Found this by searching through steamdb for obscure games. So many mechanics are clunky and broken (wont play full animation on clicking button, cant roll while walking etc etc), but it sort of adds to the charm. I didnt encounter any combat, so it was basically a walking simulator. A great experience overall though, and definitely worth more than $2 even in its current unfinished and broken state. I like the dialogue that is present, but it would be great to have more -I was nev…2 found this helpful
per prior conversation and disclaimer: i am a voice actress for this game and also working on the project creatively in other ways. however, this was not as a consequence of looking for that work first, but rather, because i found this game drawing itself to me like an elder entity — it spoke to my soul. the game felt cozy and special, and i had words of encouragement to share that broke through in a way i hadnt anticipated. the developer of this game is truly a wonderful person, with an incredible vision; to that, i hope you love this game. dscorp (the one man dev of this game) m, is so talented. to you: your writing, ability to build atmosphere, and create sense of world place grounding so organically make your world tell a story before the story does. one that involves a history of emotional thought and people who need love through hurt. a gentle and comforting yet eerie and unfamiliar world, loving characters, and vibe that is wholly distinct. the fantastical yet introspective of underlying fears is such a mature and nuanced piece of art that isnt afraid to be quiet and let you find people tell you their stories themselves. that descorp has a personal story that isnt about t…2 found this helpful
