Terrordrome - Reign of the Legends

Gameplay is fun, but unfortunately they've started using Generative AI. It doesn't belong in games and can't recommend playing this unless they take it out

Bought it to show my appreciation for the original Terrordrome. Apart from that, the game would appeal only to those who are fans of Killer Instinct, and unfortunately, it is not very popular nowadays. Apart from that, the button input is a bit delayed, which forces you not only to remember the combo buttons themselves, but also to try to push them as fast as you can, as well as not all special attacks are registered. The graphics are okay, but outdated and don't contain an art style or design unique enough to compensate for the graphics. Entry voice lines are unbalanced and often are much quieter than the background music and SFX. Music is okay and dynamic. Controls for the gamepad are okay, but don't try to manually adjust keyboard buttons, as it will start automatically from below and not from the action you are on right now, so you will simply break all the input from the keyboard. Overall, I would say it is a good beta or a demo, but not a good complete game, and I cannot recommend it unfortunately.

Pretty rough both mechanically and visualy, yet fun and entertaining. The roster of fighters is actually really good, with some novel and entertaining adaptations to well known characters. The different arenas are all quite varied, offering some pretty unique and fun locations to fight in. The combat is a bit inconsistent, with some fighters feeling noticeably superior to others, and I did encounter some fighting techniques that made AI opponents completely defenceless. The heavy use of AI imagery, particualry within the slideshow cutscenes for the character ladders isn't great in my opinion, and is definitely one of the games biggest faults. On the whole this is a fun, if flawed game, that I really did enjoy, and something I can see others having a fun enough time with.

impressive for a two dev team, shame it only peaked at 19 players
