About Wreckborn

Wreckborn is a combination of survival, base building, exploration, and combat in space. This single-player science fiction game offers gameplay in a procedurally generated open world full of asteroids, wrecks, and clashes with space pirates. Your goal is to survive, develop your colony, and build infrastructure in the unforgiving cosmos.Step by step, reclaim control over the system that space pirates have claimed as their own.

Build a base on an asteroid

Start from a small outpost and expand it into a powerful space fortress.
Building new structures allows you to create an extensive industrial and defensive backbone.
Construct generators, habitats, factories, mines, and defense systems.
Each new structure strengthens your colony and opens up new opportunities for expansion.

Mine, produce, and manage resources

To survive, you must not only gather resources, but also manage them wisely.
Crafting, production automation, and effective resource management will allow you to create increasingly advanced structures, systems, and spacecraft.
Over time, you can build a self-sufficient production network that supports further colonization and the growth of your base.

Explore dangerous space

Travel through space to discover new technologies, abandoned wrecks, deserted installations, and rare resources.
Each expedition is a chance to obtain valuable resources, but also carries the risk of encountering hostile units.

Establish colonies on new asteroids

Do not limit yourself to a single base.
Build new mining outposts on additional asteroids and create a network of connected colonies that provide valuable resources and support further development.
Each new location increases your possibilities, but also exposes you to new dangers.

Fight pirates and defend your base

Pirates will constantly threaten your colony, disrupt its development, and try to destroy everything you have built.
Place defensive towers, reinforce key points, and design your base layout in a way that makes it as difficult as possible for the enemy to destroy it.

Key features:

  • sandbox and space simulator elements
  • base building on asteroids
  • resource extraction, crafting, and production automation
  • defending colonies against pirates
  • exploration and salvaging resources from wrecks
  • space flight, fleet development, and spacecraft combat

Gameplay atmosphere

A light survival experience in space focused on freedom, base building, and dynamic space battles.
Explore, expand, and fight — step by step reclaim control over the system that pirates have claimed as their own.The project is still in active development — bugs or technical issues may occur and will be fixed in future updates. Thank you for your feedback and support!

An absolute gem of a space sandbox, I could see myself getting quite lost in this one. Some wonkiness to it (what's up with ship aim?), but a good deal of content, and a very fun/addicting game loop. Dev seems involved and interested in improving the game as well. There is way more than $10 of game here, and it looks great too. Update after 10 hours- This game is excellent. The game world feels quite alive (and dangerous) at all times. Base building is a breeze once you get the hang of it, the space combat is beyond passable (for a solo dev using Unity, that is quite good), and the gameplay loop will make a chunk of hours disappear like its nothing.

This is a solid game, especially for being made by a single person. It has Space Engineer vibes - even though the ships are prefab you do build your own base. You can customize your ships based on the modules and level up-perks you chose, so you do get the feeling of your fleet getting stronger over time There's no need for a tutorial because the game teaches you how to play it as you go. Resource extraction becomes automated pretty quickly, allowing you to focus more on flying around and destroying stuff with your fleet. And as you can see, the price is awesome. It also seems the developer is constantly tweaking and adding things to the game, so I have high hopes for its future as well. It doesn't seem to have much of an endgame at this point besides maxing out the levels and upgrades on your ships, and could use a bit more variety in the world besides a half dozen varieties of poi's and destroying pirate bases, so hopefully that happens over time. Still, I got 40+ hrs out of it so far, and definitely play on coming back to it in the future. Definitely recommended.

Oh wow, I suddenly have 60 hours of playtime into the game. That alone should tell you this is a positive review because keep jumping back in for the next ship, the next upgrade, the next mission.
