About Twinkleby

✦ AI summary

Twinkleby is a cozy decoration game where you build and customize dioramas across a whimsical archipelago of floating islands, controlling every detail from scenery and lighting to soundtrack and seasonal weather. Attract quirky neighbours to your creations, throw unwanted items and residents off the edge to recycle them, and unlock rare inhabitants and hidden islands by making your neighbours happy and collecting cosmic currency.

Twinkleby is a laid-back decoration game set in a nostalgic, cozy universe with an absurdist twist; you progress through an archipelago of floating islands, build neighbourhood dioramas, and throw whatever items and creatures you don’t want over the island’s edge. Twinkleby is a universe where the mood changes on a whim, where you create elaborate environments by controlling the soundtrack, scenery and lighting, and build dreamscapes that range from eerie and gothic to adorable and romantic.

In Twinkleby, the world is your inventory. Throw anything you don’t want off the side of the island, and it will be returned to your collections. Rebuild, redesign, and unlock the full range of customisation for scenery and items, including colours, backdrops, weathers and seasons. As you customise the scenery you change the soundtrack, and gradually gain full control over the ambience of your dreamscapes.

Your islands and decoration choices will attract a variety of whimsy new residents, who all have traits that affect how they interact with the environment and each other. Some of these neighbours are rare sights in the archipelago, and only the most dedicated player will collect them all. Like everything else in Twinkleby, any neighbour can be evicted at any time – just throw their luggage off the side of the island, and they’ll take the hint.It might be a good idea to not be too hasty with the evictions though, because every neighbour carries gifts in their bag, and should you make them happy, they will reward you in return.

✦ Progress along Twinkleby’s star chart to unlock new islands to make your own, and gather map fragments to discover hidden islands along the way.✦ Grow your item collection to decorate your islands, and return items to your inventory by throwing them off the island’s edge.✦ Furnish your houses to attract and collect new neighbours (common and rare), and should you grow tired of their company – evict them at a moment’s notice!✦ Make your neighbours happy, and they’ll reward you handsomely with a variety of items, including paintings, keys, and even houses!✦ Compose the soundtrack of your dioramas using the weathers, seasons and backdrops, and create unique audio-visual dreamscapes for each new island.✦ Collect the shooting stars known as Stellars and spend them in Molligan’s Antiques on whatever catches your eye! Generate more Stellars by making your neighbours happy, and find new, secret ways to make the stars fall.✦ You’re not the only one throwing things into space in the Twinkleby archipelago; catch chests that fall past your islands, and loot them to expand your collections.✦ When you have delved deep into space, you will be able to play on parallel islands – new clean-slate versions of the islands you've found. Keep exploring new, creative ways to decorate with all the stuff you've gathered!
✦Capture your magnificent creations and adorable moments in the photo mode.

This is a very low pressure but extensive little decorating game. When I first found out about it, I wasn't even sure if I was going to like it. Sure, I enjoy decorating in cosy games, but to play something that has no quest lines, no objectives, but just plainly allows you to decorate little islands where villages will then arrive and roam about? Yeah no, doesn't sound like something I'd enjoy. But I was curious, so I downloaded the demo. And before I knew it, I was sucked in. It starts of small, with only one small house and small islands, allowing you to place trees, flowers, bushes and other natural decorations, but also bridges and furniture. But at the point I am, things have definitely gotten bigger, and it can now take me more than three hours to decorate one island. Finding the villagers' favourite things that they will interact with to make them happy is a very lovely mechanic to give you a sence of completion once you've decorated, a marker that tells you this island does not need more work. All in all, I highly recommend it, and I've probably got quite a few more hours to finish all of the available islands.

I really do love this game, but I hope they continue to update because you unlock new items quickly. Also, every new island can feel a little repetitive... but overall, this game rocks and it feels like decorating a doll house.

This is a cute and cozy games where you get to decorate as much as you'd like. It's very relaxing and you can move at your own pace. The graphics are super adorable and I've had a great time getting lost in decorating the houses and watching the little people. It's a great game though I do feel a few improvements can be made. - There's quite a lot of colours that you can unlock but some are very similar to each other. For instance there's 2 near identical beiges. Why not change one to a rich brown instead since that missing? - When you apply a wall pattern to a colour, it always makes the colour a duller, darker version and can sometimes ruin the look you want. The colour should stay intact. - You cannot customise the wood colour on the furniture which limits the combination of furniture you can use. Sometimes I want to use a particular chair but it only comes in dark wood and the table I want only comes in light wood. Why not add all the wood colours to each item so we can mix and match more? - Lastly, there is weirdly a large lack of smaller tables. Most of the tables in the game are huge and I don't know why. There's only one type of nightstand and it comes in one wood tone. Th…

This game is super cute and wholesome; very relaxing! I've thoroughly enjoyed it. I haven't had time to play it recently — earthquake displaced me! — but I look forward to returning soon. If you're looking for something to unleash creativity that doesn't demand a whole lot, Twinkleby is great! It reminds me of playing dolls when I was a kid. Thanks for the update, devs! Happy birthday to Twinkleby.

It is a simple cute decorating game, though I think it's not worth full price so try to get this on sale. Also I feel like some of the game mechanics are lackluster, like lowkey something is missing, other than that this shi pretty chill
