Fairytale Furnishing is a game about interior designing and furnishing homes for fairy tale heroes. Customize the princess's tower, the hero's cabin, or the witch's cottage to your taste. Unlock new items. Revisit completed locations to decorate them differently. In the process, uncover the story that connects the characters with each other.
Across game levels, you'll find yourself in the empty abodes of fairy tale characters - like a princess's tower or a witch's den. You'll furnish their homes, placing furniture and other items, thereby better revealing the personalities of their owners. Don't worry - the game doesn't rush you or challenge you with difficult tasks - just enjoy furnishing the homes at your leisure.
As you furnish, you'll be able to unlock new items to create more original interiors. Over time, you'll get acquainted with the story and unlock the next level, so you can move on whenever you wish.

This is a really charming game in terms of the storytelling and fantastical dioramas. This game did not disappoint on that avenue. My absolute favourite part of the decorating was that as you placed items, you would discover and unlock more items! I like how as you unlock more levels, the decoration styles change to reflect the set fairy tale. I wish I could sit back and idly enjoy it all. But unfortunately, the camera angles make this a stressful experience (for me at least). They are not intuitive feeling at all. There are 2 modes that you can swap between, a free style mode and a standard viewing mode. I find myself having to swap between the 2 modes quite often to get the perfect angle so that I can both decorate and admire my work. But in order to get there, I am button smashing or ending up in a completely different position than I originally anticipated. I don't understand why it needs to be this complicated? I am very often stuck in walls or floors accidentally and am spamming to try to get back to a default view. I end up with furniture placed up in the clouds, instead of on the floorboards... Very little control over what you're placing in the game. There are menus, but they produce seemingly random items based on what you have 'unlocked' but you can't choose between them in the subcategories. You can just delete whatever it is you've been given and spin the randomizer again. It's frustrating. Additionally, selecting the menu items when you have something already selected does not deselect the current item and select the new item, it just fails, without any message as to why. There's a lot of room for User Interface improvement here. Also, there needs to be a freeform sandbox building level. If it exists, it's locked away behind something I haven't gotten to yet.1 found this helpful

Im a sucker for unpacking games and this was very cute! different vibe and was fun to play around with. the only thing i had issues with and trying to get use to was the cam but once i got into the swing of it was easy peasy
It was fun for what is was. If you like decorating games you'll like this one. It's short but that's okay. The one thing I don't like is the 50 items to move on. There aren't many items in it, why do we have to hit it to move on? You should be able to decorate how you want and move on.
