About Arcadia Fallen II

Seven years after the dramatic events in Anemone Valley, the political situation surrounding magic has reached boiling point within the Empire. At the Seven Winds Academy, however, life goes on undisturbed by outside influences. Here, the students’ biggest worries are exams, job prospects, and who might be taking whom to the New Year’s Gala, but when a curious group of seniors stumble upon a secret hidden within the castle, their priorities for the year change in an instant... Explore a brand new adventure as a mage student of the Seven Winds Academy and experience a story that can be enjoyed by new and returning players of the series. Choose from three different magical disciplines, and let your choices shape the personality of your character as you navigate school life during a time of great change. As you uncover the story of Arcadia Fallen II, you will decide how you respond to the people around you and the events that unfold. Tone labels help you avoid unexpected consequences, and choices with significant impact on the story are highlighted. But no matter what you decide to do, there are no “wrong” choices and no dead ends. Only you can find the path that is right for you.

Classrooms & Night Runs

Your chosen magical discipline will affect your character's upbringing, what locations they are familiar with, and what skills they bring to the team. This and more will influence puzzles throughout the game and challenge you in different ways depending on the choices you make in each playthrough. No true boarding school experience is complete without a bit of rule-breaking! Sneak out at night with your friends and discover the secrets the old castle holds. If you’re daring, you might pick up some juicy gossip as well.

Friendships & Romance

 • The game features five romanceable companions.
 • The romances are LGBTQ+ friendly. Date whomever you wish, no matter how you choose to present in the game, or just stay friends if romance is not your thing.
 • Form deep platonic connections with all the companions you meet along the way, and help them with their troubles as the school year progresses.
 • An incredible cast of voice actors bring their talents to your friends, enemies, rivals, and potential love interests.

It's a good story game that does a lot right, but not everything. Anyway, it has a way more interesting magic academy setting than Harry Potter for sure. The story's academy is nestled at the locus of political influence, public interests, private ambitions, magic worldbuilding and individual every day stories. The opening is polished, expositions of loose strings are well done and all of them are getting resolved in the end after proper development. That is, for the NPCs at least. The MC feels out of place pretty often. They don't even get a background. No family is ever mentioned, nor do they seem to have ambitions beyond overcoming the next conflict in the story. There are parts where you feel like nothing more than a messenger and errand runner for the NPCs who are more important than you. There are situations where the story addresses this, and there are some scenes that center you, but it's never directly about you. It's very obviously part of the message that this game wants to deliver that you are not the most important, special person that has ever wandered this fictional world. Yet, the MC clearly misses agency. But it only really starts to feel this way when suddenly, …

An amazing game and an incredible continuation of the first game. I honestly loved the character interactions and how the academy felt "lived in" despite not many characters appearing (for example, staff members). Observations [*]The game loop itself is slightly less dynamic than the first game,
the sneaking through the academy felt more repetitive and less engaging that the amulet system in the first game, not to mention that the potion crafting made it feel more built into the world
[*]Characters were amazing, and I'm sad I won't get to meet them for the first time again [*]Artstyle is a vast improvement from the first game,
and Hannah's Darling Wildflower has been on stuck in my head for days, I can't stop listening to it!
[*]
When I played Arcadia Fallen I, I had gone with Ann's romance route, and seeing our character in that game be mentioned in passing was an amazing inclusion, though I wish they could've played a deeper part in the story, but I know that's just wishful thinking.
[*]Loved the little secrets hidden in the different rooms of the academy, it made me want to constantly check every room even if nothin…

If you are looking for something that meets the often conflicting criteria of interesting and very relaxing, play this game.

Great game with a compelling story and well written characters. The puzzles are simple but require some thought. One of the best fetures in the game is letting you "import" your decisions from the first game by just selecting the relevant ones without fiddleing with savefiles. The game also letts you imagine what the characters from the fist game are doing, other than the ones actualy in the game since they are only described vaguely. I did not notice much impact from the choice of discipline but a lot of coices are to define your character so it is nice flavour. The game is well worth the price to me but players less invested in the overarching story might want to wait for a discount.
