City States: Medieval

What needs to be said and Hasn't really been said is simply this. I challenge the dev to read this in it's entirety, and expect a response. Due to the Character limit on comments this will be in 2 parts. This is Part 1 -With every game the Dev has put out, it is getting "better" -It is absolutely true that major issues exist in this game that break it from functioning or being playable. They have always existed. - The Dev has always been responsive across all of their games, which is a positive - The Dev also absolutely abandons their game within a year, having fixed minor parts of the issues (for other people, never has it fixed crash issues for me) - The Dev team is tiny, and can't achieve much. They have done a great job considering that. - But that does not excuse that they are making minor adjustments to relaunch it as a new game keeping the same broken codes, pulling the same unit assets and even unit picture cards (which are well done, I wouldn't have changed the unit cards either) - Knights Of Honor II: Sovereign exists, which is this game except a different dev and it is stable. The game is full of bug. The troops are all the same from a faction to another except name and photo. The level of the troop dont work a level 1 have the same stats than a level 6 execpt your main hero that does have more health with level. There was a bug that when the siege tower reach your wall the game crash when you load back the ennemy still there and when you fight its happening again i did contact support on discord and they said they will fix it and the fix was to disable the siege tower so now when a ennemy attack the siege tower doesnt move. I found out in the discord that the owner have mutliple game like that and they all *copy-cat* he release one each 6 month and abandon the the previous one so no real developement or update in those game.

Resources flow through interconnected production chains, requiring players to carefully balance agriculture, manufacturing, commerce, and taxation. I do not normally leave reviews, but this is deserved one. This game plays like something from 2003 except the graphics are somehow worse. It is literally a reskin of their last 10 games that have a similar concept. Nothing is new. Nothing is different. All one has to do is look at the developers list of games and the pictures are almost all identical. Requested a refund, because this game does not live up what the videos and pictures promise.

This game has a couple interesting mechanics like mixing the RTS and overworld grand strategy genres together. Ultimately though it is horribly bugged, clunky and unpolished which takes away most of the fun. To put it into better view, according to achievements 77% of people started the tutorial but only 7% FINISHED it. only 35% of players decided to load the game. Not even to do anything fancy, just start the game, save it and decide to come back to it and load it at a later time. This shows clearly how bad the game is despite it having cool ideas. Just some examples of the clunkyness: I got soft locked twice during the tutorial because i spent resources in ways the tutorial didn't want me to so I couldn't recruit units anymore which the tutorial needed me to recruit to continue so I had to restart it. The game lags around a bit despite having early 2000 graphics. When clicking on anything for example to move a unit, it takes about half a second for the game to properly register. The diplomacy menu is a joke, you have to press a left or right arrow button to scroll through 5 factions at a time when there are 50+ factions and I don't think they are sorted in any specific way. This game looked great, reminded me of an old game I use to love years ago. It has a lot going for it but it definitely could do with a bit of UI and texture clean up. There are so many different mechanics that skipping the tutorial would be a nightmare, and yes the tutorial is a bit long but does help so stick to it! There is so much happening on screen at any given time so the graphics do tend to stutter if you are not playing with the right hardware or at the right settings. Honestly for a small studio its a pretty decent game.
