A very awe inspiring game with a beautiful and unique art style. Lots of creative and grotesque ideas throughout, as well as excellent animation. It would be a great game to experience for the weekend. As to what it's about? I don't know man. I'm coming hot off the heels of that game OFF and my tolerance for trying to decipher heady and symbolic coma dream games is probably at an all time low right now. I'm just appreciating it for what it is on the surface which is a walking simulator through an incredibly twisted art exhibit.

This is a game you do not want to miss out on. It is amazing.

you walk really slow, the story is very very confusing, the gameplay is (in my opinion) not something to write home about, but the artstyle and general visual direction in this game is actually so bizarre, fascinating, and yet simultaneously one of the most beautiful things i've ever seen in a video game... and that alone makes this game so unbelievably worth experiencing at least once

tldr: Sadly cannot recommend because the game does not respect your time. This game reminds me of superliminal, but with way less puzzles and only a handful of good ones. The most satisfying part in both games are the mindblowing moments, where the game surprise you with "huh apparently that happened", in a good way of ofc. There is a invisible portal puzzle that I call the worst puzzle in superliminal, and the devs basically ported that over to this game. yay. The graphics and soundtrack are pretty good. I think 90% of people who would buy this are in it because of the graphics, and the game does deliver. The rest are probably into the hand, but thats also understandable. It is clear that someone the devs love invisible portals. Some of them are implemented seamlessly while others are quite janky. You often notice the fps drop for a sec when moving through, so it's not like you never notice that you got teleported. Still there are a few that I would call perfect and thats enough for me. My main problems are with the pacing, It is clear that the devs want you to go as slow as possible. Apparently sprint only got added after people complained about walking being too slow. Even…

What is art? Art is something that gives depth to the human experience - this is it. tldr; this is a Jungian adventure through the rapidly changing dreamscape of the unconscious, with Joseph Campbell's monomyth as a narrative. In narrative ranking this is up there with Journey (PS3, 2012). [spoiler] You are a female who is in hospital and pumped with a lot of, likely, heavy painkillers and sedatives. You are inside your own body moving though the imagination of a conscious girl trapped inside her unconscious self. These are her final moments as she comes to terms with passing. She goes into the underworld, confronts her demon and emerges as the hero. The end point is marked with her conscious self embracing her unconscious self, united in wholeness again. [/spoiler] - Technically speaking: -FOV is too low (no options) -game is crash happy -couple of softlock situations -options menu doesn't save on restart -vsync has to be forced by your gpu software (no option) But it does have higher res pixel options (which all pixel games should) for larger monitors. This is a big win for accessibility.
