Outbreak Island

i honestly gave this game a try because the truck used. and i paid the supporter fee and can say its promissing it had many great ideas and for early play its great it was well worth 10.00 so far i have not falling through the map witch ive played much higher budget games that have been out for years and still fall out of the map the dev is off to a great start. and i cant wait to see more i could see this game going much larger scale well worth the money spent so far

i love the game and i cant wait to see what it will become one day. sure some things are clunky but i can look past all that. graphics are solid,no crashes and the occasional music is quite ok. keep up the good work dev. cheers

Hello, I recently purchased Outbreak Island because the game looked like something I could really get into. The combination of exploration, zombies/monsters, looting, weapons, and the overall atmosphere is very much my kind of game. I was especially interested because of the full controller support. Unfortunately, after spending some time with it, I ended up putting it down because I found the current controller experience and combat difficulty very frustrating. The controller support feels very inconsistent. Some interactions work with the controller, while others still seem to expect keyboard or mouse inputs. I ran into situations where the game would tell me to press E even though I was playing entirely with a controller. The inventory and container UI was also difficult to navigate, and the button prompts and actual controller behavior didn't always seem to match. I ended up having to make custom Steam Input changes just to get some of the UI functionality working, and even then I ran into other conflicts with the normal gameplay controls. I also found the combat extremely punishing. I was attacked by two enemies that were able to get very close to me before I could react, …

I mean it's just another unfinished game at this point. Concept is fine, execution in terms of available content is not there. C+

Game feels unrewarding to play. Killing a mini boss results in a few scraps of crafting materials even after you waste most of your ammo killing it. Looting container also provides barely any materials for crafting. Combat is janky where enemies can sometimes double hit you. Game has potential but as it stands right now i cannot recommend it.
