The Inquisitor

The Inquisitor has an excellent premise and a fascinating alternate-history setting. The investigations and world-building are its strongest points. Unfortunately, rough combat, unintuitive puzzles, and especially the lack of manual saves or chapter select seriously hurt the experience. A choice-driven game shouldn't force you to replay the entire campaign just to see another ending. Worth trying on a deep sale if you're interested in the story, but difficult to recommend at full price.

I had this game on my wishlist for a while. I love the idea of alternate history and whatnot, and this game did not disappoint in that regard. Brilliant storytelling and lore! The game itself is a bit rough around the edges, but graphics do not make a game. They are more like the cherry on the top. I am still playing through this title, so I do not know how it will end, but I am definitely wanting to see more from this franchise in the future. perhaps i will even own the book series one day. Two thumbs up, keep up the great work!

Ill start with the good part This game does have a fairly intruging story, just captivating enough to keep me from stop playing, and feel engaged, with many intressting concepts. with smal bits of humor that landed really well and not overephesised to much, senery and enviroment is quite intressting as well... that said id give it a 6.2-6.5/10 the setting ide and general concept of beeing an inqusitor and simular I absolutly LOVED. I alkso love how the world rewards you for beeign a compleat zelot rather than trying to be kind, very few games are willing to do that... however the rest the very simplistic combat system which reminds me of somthing out of witcher 1 only more rough and crude, adn with missions whos repetetivness borders on Assassins creed 1 wich is at best a 3/10, oh i got a lead, I must listen in to conversations by sitting on a bench, and investigate a corps and meditate to travel to the unworld. the grafics and animations vary in quality some what, but on ocations it feels some what lazy skips like when the inkeeper poors a mug of somthing out of a pitcher yet you see nothing come out, Mortimer gets food but never eats any. 3/10 and then the unworld -this is the m…

The Inquisitor is a dark fantasy narrative adventure built around an unsettling alternate version of European religious history. very nice game ! Good story, nice to play except non world parts. I got the bad ending but I'm not sure why ...

Poor implementation, seems like an alpha version with almost no interactivity or logical progression. Won't keep the experienced gamer involved and won't attract casual players with no excitement. Its all static like it wasn't finished or something but they put it out anyway. i couldn't stand more than 22 minutes. Considering the cutting edge of modern gaming being what it is, I would choose to look upon this as a promising alpha or beta version at best. All the characters aside from the ones you are forced to interact with are totally static, zombie-like with no interaction possible. So you run around in a world where the biggest thing you're doing is searching for an npc to speak or do something other than ignore you. Here's a brief list of fun things that were NOT present in this game: fun npcs you can do ANYTHING other than stare at ladders are everywhere but you cannot use a single one same problem with all doors and gates except for a rare one here or there; basically anything that isn't you or the person you're supposed to talk to can be ignored because you can't interact anyway/ so this is not an open world despite giving one that impression. if anything it's more…
