✦ AI summary

Overhatched is a chaotic co-op management game about raising dinosaurs that most players find fun and charming, with engaging production chains and hilarious moments when things go wrong, though it suffers from technical issues like blurry graphics, inconsistent controls across platforms, and a steep difficulty curve that can make progression feel gated. Players appreciate the cooperative gameplay and "Overcooked meets dinosaurs" concept, but some find the learning curve steep and wish for more character customization and clarity in early-game mechanics.

This game is mess. For a game with recommended configuration as low as a GTX 1070, this game look really bad on my RX 6600 XT. Stable 60 FPS, but that's it. Everything is as blurry as if I forgot my glasses. Controls are all over the place. Normally X to intertact, but selling is not an interaction? But on the PC A to intertect and X to buy. Charecter movement is camera-relative when you're only a person, but vehicle-relative if you're in a vehicle.

I really enjoyed my time with OverHatched. The overall structure of the game works well, and I especially liked the combination of managing your facility, completing tasks, and—of course—raising dinosaurs. It has a charming concept that doesn't take itself too seriously, which makes it very easy to sit down and just have fun with. There were a few mechanics that took me a little while to figure out and get right. I had some moments where I wasn't entirely sure what the game wanted me to do or how certain systems worked, but once things started clicking, the gameplay became much smoother and more enjoyable. I actually think that little bit of trial and error adds to some of the chaos. You're learning how to keep everything running while simultaneously trying not to make a complete mess of your dinosaur operation. Visually, the game is adorable, the concept is fun, and there's a nice sense of progression as you start understanding how all of the different pieces work together.

Overhatched is a 1-4 player co-op management game where you hatch, feed, raise and ship dinosaurs while managing farming, fishing, supplies and increasingly complicated production chains. It launched into Early Access on August 21, 2026, with more facilities, dinosaurs, customization and general polish planned during development. Pros ✔️ The dinosaur factory idea is fun - "Overcooked meets Jurassic Park" makes immediate sense here. Hatching dinosaurs, growing their food and trying to keep the whole production line moving gives the usual co-op management setup its own identity. ✔️ The different production chains have potential - Herbivores are only the beginning, with carnivores requiring livestock and meat while piscivores need fish to be caught and prepared. I can see things getting considerably more interesting once all of those systems start overlapping. ✔️ Balancing multiple orders could get pretty hectic - You are not always working toward one thing. Keeping plants, dinosaurs and different orders stocked at the same time gives the game a decent foundation for the kind of panic these games are good at. Cons ❌ I softlocked almost immediately - Getting completely stuck during t…

I received this game for free through a third party site and it's overall it's fun to play with friends. We were all new to the game and played on stream together. As a party game, this is definitely one you'd want to have a sober experience with first to get the game down. It's hilarious to see the ragdoll effects. I don't like having a main character that I cannot customize and I certainly don't want to be a redheaded man with birthing hips. It would be nice to be able to change our color in the game. In the online mode, the people indicators could be the colors we're going to be in the game with our names underneath. A level up system to reduce chances of burning eggs or tasks would be cool. Otherwise, we're excited to see the progression of the game and play it occasionally for years to come. It would be nice to have a dash, more accessible visual settings, and the possibility to change our keybinds. It would be good for everyone to know how many people are in the lobby overall as well.

Overhatched is an absolute blast! The mix of raising dinosaurs, managing supplies, completing orders, and trying to keep everything running while chaos breaks out is seriously fun. 🦖🦕 It’s easy to jump into, but once things start getting busy, teamwork and communication really matter. There’s always something that needs to be done, and some of the funniest moments come when everything starts going wrong at once! I also really like how much variety there is between managing inventory, farming, fishing, feeding the dinosaurs, and getting orders shipped out. It keeps the gameplay from feeling repetitive. It’s especially fun with friends and has that perfect “just one more round” feeling. For an indie game, there’s already a lot of personality here, and I’m excited to see what gets added as development continues. Definitely recommend giving Overhatched a try, especially if you enjoy co-op games that are fun, hectic, and a little chaotic! 🦖📦🚜 ⭐ 10/10 — would absolutely get run over by my teammate’s forklift again.

Fun little chaotic game to play with friends. The tasks/mechanics are all simple individually but of course when you start doing them all at once, chaos ensues. My only "complaint" is that it's kinda hard (at least with 4 players) to get high-star ratings on each map. And when you need a certain number of star ratings to unlock more maps to play on, you kind of (or at least my group did) get stuck with only a handful of maps. Even with us completing 90% of the orders, we still only barely get 1 or 2 stars on most maps.
