Jorōgumo - じょろうぐも

They have truly improved with this game. It's quite captivating and even the monster model looked pretty decent. Of course it's an indie game and has it's little flaws but for a short Japanese horror experience about a spider demon, it's not a bad game at all. The forest was done exceptionally well, too, with falling leaves, rustling twigs on the ground and eerie ambience. There could have been a bit more background information though. You had a journal and documents slot in inventory but never picked up anything.

Pretty good game with some fun puzzles in it.

Unfortunately, Jurogumo was a hard pass for me. For the price, I really don’t think the game is worth the money. The puzzles felt more tedious and frustrating than actually interesting, and the horror just wasn’t there—I never really felt scared or tense while playing. The graphics were also pretty rough and didn’t help with the atmosphere or immersion. I went in hoping for a creepy horror experience, but overall I walked away disappointed. Tedious puzzles, weak scares, poor graphics, and not enough here to justify the price. It’s a no from me.

cool game! fun and not too difficult puzzles

- Positive nice horror trip and topic/story is very interesting. - Atmosphere is nice especially the forest, other levels little bit boring, puzzles are okay and nicely different. - Story is interesting Jorogumo spider woman thing so game has lot of potential but story/game play still feels little bit empty/poor as if not everything has been gotten out of it. - Jump scare things are nice because they are not often so not stupid jump scare spam which ruins atmosphere. - 6/10 enjoyable short horror trip and atmospheric and i recommended it especially if it`s sale.

The story and the length of the game was pretty solid. The ending seem to cut short but for a $6 game it wasn’t bad.
