What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Hillforts offers an enjoyable and quick gameplay loop that players find fun and engaging, though it struggles with inconsistent difficulty balancing and heavy reliance on random elements that can feel frustrating. Most reviewers consider it worth purchasing at its current price point, recommending it as a solid casual experience for players looking for short gaming sessions between other games.

The game is very random and the difficulty increases too sharply in successive matches1 found this helpful
If you want to play a deck builder I'd recommend Monster Train or Slay the Spire over this. It feels very complicated but also very random. A little more like a slot machine that a strategy game.
Very enjoyable game, the loop is fun and quick. For its current price I'd say is well worth it.
Very fun game that sits alongside me whenever I get killed in Fortnite
