This is a fantastic game that is SEVERLY hindered by the idiotic weather system. Whichever part of the dev team had the MORONIC f-ing idea to make it "maybe" change every four REAL world hours deserves an @ss whoopin'. Seriously, exactly HOW long do you expect people to play this game at a shot? Does the weather have a chance of changing every four hours if you AREN'T playing? Do I have to log on every four hours to check? Will the weather change WHILE I'm in town, or do I have to play a stage and hope it's changed when I get back? Is there only a SINGLE chance for it to change every 4 hours, or can I enter and exit levels repeatedly to get the change? NONE of this is explained, and I've been unable to provoke the change myself. Most importantly, players have been complaining about this since the update released LAST YEAR. FFS, fix it already! I've put 40+ hours into the game, and I've seen two, count them TWO weather changes. Fix it or ADMIT you abandoned the game so people steer clear!!!

I just wanted to quickly say, since two of the most recent reviews claim multiplayer doesn't work: I went into multiplayer and it's working for me just fine. There aren't many people there, but I have no issues connecting to multiplayer and joining up with people. It's possible that there was a brief issue right when some people were trying out the game for the first time, but as it is now at the time I'm writing this, multiplayer is up and available to use. You can play this with friends.

SUMMARY: Incredibly polished with satisfying, responsive combat. Picked this game up when it was on sale and I was surprised that this game -- that never seemed to hit my 'roguelite' radar (one of my favourites) -- was so well-made. I figured that there must be something wrong with the game, but I've yet to find anything to complain about. It's highly polished; everything has an animation, the music changes depending on the season, each element will change the appearance of your attacks, etc. There are so many tiny details that most devs would have overlooked that are given attention in this game. The combat is also one of the most satisfying that I've experienced. Tons of different weapons types, and each weapon of each type can have its own stats, special attack, etc. I spend almost too much time before each run trying to pick the 'best' version of the 'best' weapon for that run. Like a lot of roguelites, the more you progress, the more you'll unlock, so the game gets more interesting over time. I have JUST reached Chapter 2 and I already have nearly 30 hours in the game. A hidden gem; that's the best way I can describe it.

This game can be described as quantity over quality. It's a generic game with lots of things tossed in and just hoping that it somehow makes it fun. The basic gameplay is fun and entertaining for a while but the game is just a grindy slog with boring quests like throwing robots into water for the 10th time. The action gameplay is also very repetitive. And most of the permanent upgrades are sidegrades or extremely minor, but still cost a lot. 30 hours in I still run around with the basic handgun. Most weapons in the game are also just bad. I think I got 5 guns unlocked and I still prefer the first. And if I kill like 5 bosses and grind a bunch of money I can extend the range of the chargeup by 2%. I also do not care for the design your village aspekt of the game, which is generic, takes a lot of time and doesn't belong in a roguelike action game. You can farm, fish and mine. But that is made better in other games. Just play Hades or Stardew Valley instead.

I got this game to play in co-op with my partner. I got it on sale, and I think it was worth the money. It's fun, challenging but not too hard, and super cute. We'll probably continue to play this for a few more hours or so.

its a fun game, well worth the price, nice art style and I really like the combat. The combat gets way more advance the longer you spend more time with the game
