About 1,000 Heads Among the Trees
Explore a mystical Peruvian desert town at night photographing spirits and sharing your images with locals, whose interpretations of what they see reveal hidden truths about the community and yourself. This atmospheric, photo-based adventure transforms your camera into a tool of perception that reshapes reality while you uncover the occult history and modern tensions of a town founded by witches.
FEATURES
- Explore a 3D world with ambient sounds, voices and textures from the Peruvian desert, a living environment at night.
- Use your photography as a means of conversing with non-player characters, revealing what they see as well as what they imagine.
- See yourself as an outsider, lurking in alleys, eavesdropping on conversations, going where you're not supposed to go.
- Watch the forces of tourism at work and the conflicts rumbling beneath the surface of a small town.
- Discover that your camera is not just a passive recorder, but that its act of observation can change the environment.
- Complete progressively more abstract quests and delusional journal entries.
- Export and share your photos.
This game is worse than your worst nightmare.
17 found this helpful
It’s weird because there is not a story I mean: you need to explore and make photos and it’s really interesting because every character give you information when u show them the pictures and u update your journal, so I really loved this concept, but it’s weird because the ending is kinda abrupt and unexpected and u create the story with the info gathered. I’ve played worse games than this, concept is really interesting but the sensitivity is horrible and u can’t modify it.1 found this helpful

Not a good game.
The concept is intriguing and the graphics don't really bother me. The minimalistic music/sound fx of wind blowing and people chattering adds to the spooky atmosphere. However, the goal of the "game" just doesn't compel me enough to try and finish it. An interesting game to say the least, but not a very enjoyable one.
It's strange. Take pictures and deal with some slightly horror stuff.
