About 100ft Robot Golf

Never get your ball stuck behind a pesky tree or skyscraper ever again! 100ft Robot Golf is a fast-paced arcade golf game where you get to control impossibly large robots on their quest for par. Just swing your golf club to smash even the tallest buildings out of the way - or into the way of your robot golfing buddies.

Up to four players can hit the greens, cities, mountains and orbiting moons that comprise the Robot Golf Tour Circuit. Either split-screen or online, budding robot golf pilots can play frantic real-time golf, classic turn based action, or even custom rulesets crafted for your own custom Robot Golf round!

Looking for something solo? 100ft Robot Golf's unique campaign mode reveals the real stories and experiences of today's robot golf pilots. Experience the excitement, romance, and thrills of controlling one hundred feet of raw golfing power through some of the cheapest '90s-inspired mecha animation ever committed to screen.

  • Unique solo campaign mode tells the excitement, love, and intrigue of the Pro Robot Golf circuit through '90s-style budget cutscenes.
  • Play in cities, on the moon, under the ocean, and more!

I really wanted to like this one because the concept for something fun is there but it just really doesn't deliver. It would be real hard to recommend. It's over the top. Too over the top. It tries to combine concepts like golf, parody, giant robots all together but does all of them in a poor way which leads to really no standout reason to play this one unless you are really wound up by the idea of Robot Golf in the first place. Or unless I guess you want to play a whose who of which internet personality is voicing which character or what anime show led to the art design of any certain mecha. I'd pass on this one. full review on video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvMuAvMp60M

I find this to be both cringe and bad.

I'm playing Steam games in Alphabetical order, and you can watch my review here: https://youtu.be/e3w_b2AqKRY 100ft Robot Golf is part comedy, part golf game, and part 90's anime. Sadly, none of these parts are done particularly well, and they don't work together either. The anime cutscenes are lovingly drawn and detailed, but the purposefully bad voice acting wears thin quickly. The actual golfing has been redisigned to be more fast paced, with everyone taking turns at the same time, but there's limited interactions between players, other than just getting in the way. There's destructible environments, but for little reason other than to just clear a path every now and then. The golf mechanics are pretty standard for a golf game, and don't lean into the mech aspects other than a handful of different minigames that determine accuracy. There's some good ideas here, but everything feels either disjointed, disconnected, or has unfulfilled potential. The premise alone should've made this a slam-dunk win, but instead it's mediocre. Worth a play for a few rounds of couch co-op, but there's no replay value to keep you coming back for more. Oh, and the McElroy brothers are the commentator…

Slather on that putt butter and get ready for some nice, normal golf. Completely standard and official golf, following all the normal golf rules, yup. Don't forget to clean up afterwards.

A number of other reviews have said what mostly needs to be said so I figure ill just add my own small piece. I couldn't help but be amused by the dorky characters and the equally as dorky plot, hell the whole concept is silly from (100ft) head to toe. You can tell the devs enjoyed themselves making this game and I think by extension that made me enjoy it more too. Glad I stumbled upon this game I had fun.
