About 1979 Invasion Earth
1979 Invasion Earth is a Casual Shooter based on the classic retro games from the days of yore (long time ago now)
The year is 1979 and Planet Earth is being invaded by alien invaders - Are you up to the challenge of saving mankind?
1979 Invasion Earth has three single player gameplay modes and a Brand New Two Player Battle Mode
Relive the bygone days of video games with Arcade Mode.. fun, exciting and damned hard. You start with three lives and you must clear each stage before advancing into different zones.
A gameplay mode where the enemy aliens don't shoot back.. slight snag, to advance stages you must destroy enough of them nasty little alien ufo's.. sounds easy? try challenging.
You start this gameplay mode with one life and the timer running. Waves increase in intensity every 30 seconds, how long can you survive. Increase your score by shooting pickups, but be aware, it gets harder to see enemy bullets falling whilst your blasting everything in sight.
Compete with a friend with this local two player gameplay mode. Three rounds of sharpshooting. Who's the best? Requires a keyboard and a xbox compatible joypad.
Bad Space Invaders clone.
10 found this helpful
This is an expanded version of Space Invaders, very similar to how Pac-Man has gotten multiple spin-off titles in the past. Game was pretty fun, but much like with Pac-Man, you can only play so much before it gets boring. ____________ Follow my Curator4 found this helpful
1979 Invasion Earth is a small-scale indie shooter that wears its nostalgia proudly, delivering a straightforward homage to the earliest days of arcade gaming. Developed by Jonni The Dodger and published by Ecomasphere, the game is less concerned with modern reinvention and more focused on recreating the feel of classic alien-invasion shooters from the late 1970s and early 1980s. It positions itself as a deliberately simple, arcade-inspired experience meant to be enjoyed in short, repeatable sessions rather than as a deep or evolving single-player campaign. The premise is intentionally barebones: alien forces are attacking Earth, and the player’s sole responsibility is to shoot them down before they overwhelm the screen. This simplicity is reflected in the structure of the game, which is divided into several distinct modes rather than a single, linear progression. Each mode explores a slightly different interpretation of the same core mechanics, allowing players to engage with the action in ways that emphasize survival, precision, or competition. This modular design helps keep the experience from feeling completely one-note, even though the underlying mechanics remain consistent t…
