404Sight

I enjoyed this one. Free to play and fairly easy to unlock all the achievements. Hard to say anything bad about it, especially when it's free and there's nothing to lose. Just play it. 7/10

404Sight is a short free parkour game built around a pretty unusual idea. I am running through futuristic levels while trying to reach the end as quickly as possible, but the game keeps throwing obstacles in my way through the internet service provider theme. The main character has a special ping ability that reveals hidden parts of the course, including areas that speed me up and areas that slow me down. I like the idea because the net neutrality message is actually part of the gameplay instead of just being something written in the background. The running itself is simple but quite enjoyable. I am constantly moving, jumping and trying to pick the best route through each level, and using the ping at the right time can make a noticeable difference. The fast and slow lanes give me something to think about because I cannot always see the best route immediately. There are also hazards and inhibitors that can mess with my progress, so getting through a level quickly is partly about knowing when to take risks and when to play it safe. This game is so intensely awful It was such a headache to complete all the achievements. Thank goodness it's over.
