6Souls

6Souls is a 2D Precision Platformer where you play as Jack and your dog Butch. You get involved in a scheme orchestrated by an evil sorcerer who captured the souls of a certain family and your job is to find their souls and free them while they provide you with the support on your journey. The game offers 10 chapters of intense screen by screen precision platforming, pit traps, spikes, sawblades, you name it. You go through each screen while unlocking gates with keys or levers to proceed unto the next one. It starts off pretty challenging and gets even more intense, but as you get familiar with the controls and the mechanisms of the game, it should get a bit easier while still offering the challenge intended. The character movement were a bit janky but once I got the feeling and timing / distance of jumps and dashes it became much better. OST and music were great to listen to and keeps you focused during the intense platforming levels. There are intense battles at the end of each chapter (except few late ones) which will offer you adrenaline rush fights, you will need to rely on your dash and jump timings to evade projectiles or boss dangerous attacks. One hit kill spikes, spiders, and bosses. A dash that feels inconsistent (behaves different for cardinal directions compare to diagonal) with no I frames. A ramp up to level after level of precision platforming that felt out of place. Not my cup of tea but it may be yours? Marking recommended with hesitation as it's not for me but I could have done more to know that ahead of time. I'm dropping out at the end of chapter 4.

Хотел сначала похволить игру, но чем дальше проходил тем менее интереснее и изобретательнее становились уровни. Разработчики выкрутили умение рывка на максимум, но сделали при этом именно его максимально неуправляемым. Я играл на Steam Deck, на 8Bitdo pro 2, на китайской погремушке за 1000 рублей, везде ощущается рывок не стабильным и сложно контроллируемым. И не важно на кристовине или на стике. Я с огромным удовольствием прошел Celeste и Meat Boy, и эта игра вначале давала надежду на хороший и удобный геймплей, но нет, после уже третьего рывка все уровни начинают рассыпаться и бесить. Песик милый.

I lost a lot more than 6souls with this game

Really fun platformer! Reminds me a lot of Celeste but being the dog sometimes is such a cute and fun little feature in this game! Played through the entire game and had a blast :)
