7776 II: Dwarven Greed is a compact and eccentric strategy game that combines dice-based chance, poker-inspired combinations, gemstone collecting, and a deliberately humorous interpretation of dwarven greed. Developed and published by Miltocoal, the game does not attempt to deliver a conventional fantasy adventure filled with exploration and combat. Instead, it imagines what dwarves might do between mining precious stones and fighting goblins: drink beer, gamble, compete with one another, and occasionally cheat. That playful premise gives an otherwise straightforward probability game considerably more character. The central concept revolves around a machine invented by a Dwarf Mechanic and placed in the Dwarf King's palace. "7776 II: Dwarven Greed" is a weird VR tech demo, basically a dead PvP (no players) dice poker/Yahtzee ripoff. Only in VR with a nonsensical theme about dwarves using a machine to play poker or something. From what I can see this isn't monetised (I wish it weren't so, but many online gambling companies are trying to push into Steam so it pays to be wary). Unfortunately as a PvP game with no players, this can't be played as intended. You won't get a match. What do you do in the game? Use a machine to roll dice, with a few addons and gimmicks... frankly it's a convoluted mess of a VR tech demo. The graphics aren't great, some cartoony assets (maybe flipped) and a generally mediocre rendition of the machine (bespoke, so at least at some point an artist was involved) revolving around a single static VR scene. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. This game is fairly dated at 6 years old... …

Interesting game but why can't i find anything about the developer or the company?
