Gambling Forever is a surprisingly entertaining multiplayer dice game that I liked because it turns a very simple betting idea into something much more chaotic. I am trying to predict how many dice of a certain value are on the table, while only being able to see my own dice. I enjoyed the uncertainty because I have to make decisions based on incomplete information rather than knowing exactly what everyone else has. The basic rules are easy to understand. Players make bets about the total number of a particular value among all the hidden dice, then others have to decide whether to raise the claim or challenge it. I liked how quickly this creates tension because even a simple guess can become difficult once I have to consider what everyone else might be hiding. The special items and magic dice add much more variety than I expected. These can change the normal rules and give me new ways to influence the odds. I enjoyed experimenting with them because they stop the game from being purely about guessing. There is room for bluffing, probability and trying to work out what kind of strategy might give me an advantage. The social presentation is also a lot of fun. Characters can be cust…
