This is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. Not a game made for gamers, but a basic barebones minimum effort homework assignment. The students were instructed to make a basic "magic school" sword and sworcery third party brawler... and I guess on paper, that's what this is. Trying to actually play it, however, is a different story. This is well beneath even qualified amateur levels of game development, full of bugs, mismatched and stretched textures, extraordinarily low quality 3D assets... coupled with equally bad gameplay, control and handling, this is thoroughly unpleasant to try play. There's an overwhelming amount of mediocre Visual Novel/E-book style cutscenes in this game. The developers failed one of the most basic, fundamental requirements of game design.. "Show, don't tell." So you'll spend a huge amount of time not playing the game, but clicking through endless lines of poorly written VN text cutscenes because the developers couldn't work out how to relate their narrative through the game mechanics, and decided instead it would be better to compete with reading a book for your time. Peak cinematic gaming experience. After playing this game, I could understand why JK Rowling take inspiration from this game. The lore and story writing is so enriching and well written. The gameplay is so smooth with 120 fps option, miyazaki should learn from this game in future projects. Gameplay 9/10 Lore 10/10 Animation 7/10

Ok, ya know what? This was entertaining. Enough to overlook the shortcomings, especially for a student project. Nicely done. Also, play it just for the crawling scene in the final battle. It's *chef's kiss*

Surprisingly fun for a student project. This team actually got the Dark Souls formula down flat, would look forward to seeing them make a Souls-like game in the future with refined animations and equipment system.
