This is not Night School's best work. The story falls a bit short and the game itself feels unfinished. There are too many long dragged out sections and the experience feels unpolished. While the concept of drinking to unlock another dialogue choice is interesting, it still feels like they wasted a lot of potential.3 found this helpful
After beating oxenfree, I wanted more. This game creates an oddly cozy space in Hell. Sam Hill's cab feels like the safe den with a good friend I think we all crave IRL. I like walking sims because it reduced the stress factor, and this game does have different paths depending on your choices. My only issue is that if you fail to beat satan, the save point is after that, at least when I played and saved, so to redo the last battle I'd have to re-do the whole game. Might be fun to make the other choices, play the other side of the game, at a later time.1 found this helpful

Got soft locked at..I think the lighthouse party or whatever? Sry havent played in years because of the game breaking bug.
great game
Played the game in 2021 after discovering the studio thanks to Oxenfree. At the time, Afterparty didn't leave me with a massive impression so I decided to launche the game again a few days ago. Annnndd I remember now, the walking simulator part is a bit annoying. You go from point A to point B then back again to A but it doesn't work so you go to point C. It's a bit frustrating. I give credits to the devs for building beautiful and colourful levels but the exploring just adds to the tedious slowly walking part which is a shame. On the other hand, the dialogues aren't too bad and the story is ok. Unlocking new dialogues thanks to the drink is kinda fun and the game can be played a few times in order to unlock the different events which is nice. I would kind of recommend it but with caution as the game can feel a bit too long for what it is. It's a fun twist on Inferno and demons though.
