Reventure

Great game. Most fun at the beginning though

Reventure is a comedic, fail-forward, micro-run Metroidvania with 100 endings as you pursue your quest to defeat the Dark Lord (and maybe save the princess?). Part of the fun is that the game will let you do really stupid things. Less than 60 seconds into your first playthrough, you will probably come across a wise old sage who hands over the Legendary Sword. You can promptly murder him and end your quest in disgrace. At times Reventure feels like a puzzle game, which is thanks to the game's unexpected and clever "equip load" system. At the start of the game, you can jump quite high, but every item you pick up weighs you down - you can barely jump at all when you're carrying 5 items, which heavily restricts your ability to get around. This makes you think very carefully about routing - what you need, what you don't, what order to do things in, how you can get X item to Y destination, etc. Easy to understand but adds depth. Overall: charming, often hilarious, smartly designed, and different from the norm. It's pretty crazy that Reventure retails for $1. A lot of folks probably play it for an hour, chuckle, and move on. Super cool and funny game! First times it was very mysterious and I didn't know what was it about. Suddenly I was able to "rescue" the princess. If you reach there without knowing what is the game about, then soon you will know!

Fun game with good humor nothing fancy just exploring how to die and get the different endings Controls well, has hints along the way to keep it moving
